    • LB Drew Sanders tore Achilles in offseason program
Broncos LB Drew Sanders tore his Achilles in late April during his offseason workout program.

Advice: Per Mike Klis of Denver 9News, second-year linebacker Drew Sanders tore his Achilles in late April and has already undergone surgery to correct the ailment. That places the 2024 season in doubt for Sanders but the report states that the team in hopeful he can return before the end of the season. The standard six-to-eight-month recovery timetable for full Achilles tears leaves his expected return window some time from the end of October to the end of December, meaning it remains possible that Sanders could make it back in time for the end of the season. That said, there would be no reason to rush him back if the Broncos are out of postseason contention by that time. Sanders played a complimentary role for the Broncos during his rookie season, managing just 258 defensive snaps, and was likely to serve in a similar capacity during his second year in the league. • Suffers serious injury
Sanders suffered a torn Achilles Monday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Advice: The second-year linebacker played in all 17 games as a rookie but only started four, making 24 tackles. Sanders was likely to play a role in Denver's inside linebacker rotation with projected starters Alex Singleton and Cody Barton. Now, the 2023 third-round pick will miss most or all of the 2024 campaign. Rotowire.com Today, 4:18 pm

    • Returns to action
White (biceps) took part in Arizona's first OTA Monday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: The linebacker tore his biceps in Week 11 of the 2023 season and missed the last six games. Before going out with the injury, White recorded 90 tackles and three passes defensed. The Cardinals signed him to a two-year, $10-million contract in 2023, so White should be in line to start this year if he stays healthy. Rotowire.com Today, 4:07 pm

    • Jaycee Horn amends offseason routine for health
Panthers CB Jaycee Horn made changes to his offseason routine in an attempt to stay healthier.

Advice: Horn has missed more games than he has played in after the Panthers selected him No. 8 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, appearing in just 22 games while missing 29. He reportedly added more weightlifting to his offseason routine, saying Monday, “Just trying to switch something up and start from ground zero and build my body back up.” Horn added, “I know what I’m capable of, and I still feel like I’m one of the best DBs in this league. I’ve just got to be out there to show it. So, that’s what I’m looking forward to doing.” Horn will play the 2024 season on the fourth year of his five-year rookie deal after the team exercised his fifth-year option in April. • Saints ‘moving forward’ with Marshon Lattimore
Saints HC Dennis Allen said he had a “positive conversation” with Marshon Lattimore and that the two sides are “moving forward.”

Advice: This presumably puts an end to any potential trade of Lattimore, which is something that had been loosely speculated throughout the offseason. The veteran corner had his contract restructured in early January and is coming a second-straight season in which he dealt with nagging injuries. Lattimore has played in just 17 games over the last two seasons and will be 28 at the start of the season. He earned a 69.1 PFF coverage grade over 10 games last season and held opposing receivers under 50 yards in seven games. He remains a solid option in the secondary and now gets to be paired with rookie Kool-Aid McKinstry. Rotoworld Today, 7:42 am

    • Ditches walking boot
Greenlaw (Achilles) no longer requires a walking boot, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Greenlaw made a public appearance at an event in San Jose and discussed his recovery from Achilles surgery. He has previously said he hopes to be ready for Week 1, and his ability to walk without a boot is a small step in that direction. Greenlaw's level of participation at the start of training camp will be more telling regarding his availability come the regular season. Rotowire.com Thursday, 8:08 pm

    • Joins Jaguars
Jacksonville signed Flowers on Thursday, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Advice: Flowers suited up for all 17 games with the Falcons in 2023. Now he's signing with his fourth team in as many years. The Jaguars are thin at cornerback behind Tyson Campbell and Ronald Darby, so Flowers could push for a significant role in 2024. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:16 pm
