  • Report: Arthur Smith revenge game vs ATL Week 1
WSB’s Zach Klein reports the Falcons are expected to play Week 1 at home against the Steelers.

Advice: The Steelers’ current offensive coordinator is the Falcons’ former head coach, Arthur Smith. He will get a chance to debut Pittsburgh’s new offense with Russell Wilson or Justin Fields at the helm against his former team. Meanwhile, Kirk Cousins will likely make his Falcons debut in this game, after signing a four-year, $180 million deal with the team. Though Atlanta took Michael Penix Jr. in the draft, Cousins is still expected to be the starter for this season. His return off an Achilles injury, along with Arthur Smith’s new offense, will be the storylines for this game. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago

  • Outlook muddied after recent arrivals
Wilson has more competition for targets from quarterback Kyler Murray after the team selected Marvin Harrison fourth overall in this year's draft and then signed seven-year pro Zay Jones last week, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Wilson spent much of the offseason No. 2, at best, in the pecking order in the Cardinals passing game behind tight end Trey McBride, but the recent additions leave Wilson's potential volume in the upcoming campaign up in the air. As a rookie second-round pick last year, Wilson put together a 38-565-3 line on 58 targets in 13 contests, but he produced just 13 catches (on 25 targets) for 164 yards and one touchdown in five outings with Murray under center. The arrival of the dynamic Harrison likely leaves Wilson fending for looks with Jones, who has three years with at least 500 receiving yards on his resume. Rotowire.com Today, 3:56 pm

  • Finds new opportunity
Camp signed a contract with the Browns on Tuesday.

Advice: Camp bounced around multiple practice squads last season, including Carolina's, which he was waived from Friday. The Georgia Tech product will now work to make the most of his new opportunity in Cleveland after not being able to find his way onto an active NFL roster in 2023. Rotowire.com Today, 2:00 pm

  • Loses spot
Havrisik was waived by the Browns on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Advice: Havrisik signed a reserve/future contract with Cleveland in January after the Rams waived him. He was expected to at least have the opportunity to compete with Dustin Hopkins (hamstring) and Cade York for the team's kicker job in 2024, but instead, he'll become a free agent once again. • Lions GM says Jahmyr Gibbs will have bigger role
Pro Football Talk reports Lions GM Brad Holmes expects Jahmyr Gibbs will see more of a workload in 2024.

Advice: While you shouldn’t expect David Montgomery to completely fade away, Gibbs should get a larger share of the touches in 2024. “I definitely would expect him to see more of a load, but David Montgomery will still be here too,” Holmes said. Despite being out-touched by Montgomery, Gibbs still finished as RB10 in total fantasy points. More touches for Gibbs means he’s a realistic threat to be a top five running back in fantasy football this season. Rotoworld Today, 1:52 pm

  • Bengals sign 4th rounder Erick All to rookie deal
Bengals signed TE Erick All to a rookie contract.

Advice: All was selected in the fourth round with the 115th overall pick out of the University of Iowa. While he spent his final collegiate season with the Hawkeyes, he played four seasons at Michigan, with 40 career games and 19 starts. Over that time he caught 75 passes for 864 yards and five TDs. However, All tore the ACL eight games into the 2023 season and is still six months into his recovery, which he’s doing at the Bengals’ facility. “I’m feeling good,” All said about recovery. “Every day I’m feeling good. I’m just ready to attack physical therapy and get back to you know, playing. I feel great. I move great. It’s just a matter of time because things are still healing in there.” It’s unlikely All makes an impact in 2024 given his injury and how hard the transition to the NFL can be for tight ends.

  • Still dealing with foot issue
Coach Raheem Morris said Tuesday that McClellan (foot) will sit out practice due to injury, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.

Advice: Morris said the rookie sixth-round pick as well as Bijan Robinson (ankle), who is also tending to an injury, are both expected to be available for mandatory minicamp, as reported by D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. It appears that McClellan is still not fully recovered from the foot injury that kept him from working out at either the NFL Combine or Alabama's Pro Day, but the Falcons expect him to be ready for practice sooner rather than later. He will need all the reps he can get to have any chance of carving out a notable role behind both Robinson and Tyler Allgeier. Rotowire.com Today, 9:26 am

  • New competition in WR room
Claypool will have more competition for a roster spot after the Bills signed Marquez Valdes-Scantling to a one-year deal Tuesday.

Advice: The Bills seem to be signing as many journeymen wideouts with proven upside as they can this offseason, and seeing who can stick alongside highly touted rookie Keon Coleman and third-year man Khalil Shakir. For now, it looks like MVS, Claypool, Curtis Samuel and Mack Hollins will battle for roster spots and positioning on the depth chart. Rotowire.com Today, 9:25 am

  • Tending to ankle injury
Coach Raheem Morris said Robinson will not participate in Tuesday's OTA practice due to an ankle injury, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: Morris said that Robinson is expected to be on the field for Atlanta's mandatory minicamp, as is rookie Jase McClellan (foot), who is also currently sidelined. The insinuation that Robinson's injury is only a minor issue is a relief, but the situation will still warrant monitoring until such time as the star running back is officially back on the field. Robinson could be primed for a Year 2 breakout with the arrival of Kirk Cousins (Achilles) promising an improved Falcons offense, but for the rest of OTAs, Tyler Allgeier could get a chance to handle the top backfield reps.
