  • Thomas working on chemistry with Tannehill
The Miami Herald reports Ryan Tannehill’s timing with Julius Thomas "remains a work in progress."

Advice: It’s a non-concern this early in the offseason. Thomas is healthy after dealing with injuries the last two years and projects for a high volume red-zone role. Dolphins OC Clyde Christensen thinks Thomas can push for 10-plus touchdowns. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 2:40 pm

  • Fleener needed year to learn Saints' offense
Coby Fleener expects to be "more effective" now that he's had a year to learn the Saints' offense.

Advice: Fleener wasn't a complete flop last year -- he still managed 50 catches for 631 yards and three touchdowns as the non-PPR TE12 in fantasy -- but he certainly didn't live up to expectations after inking a five-year, $36 million contract. The 28-year-old faced a steep learning curve in his first year with the Saints. "I think anytime you’re trying to learn a new offense, trying to learn a language, trying to learn something of that nature, going through it under pressure, going through it for a year really helps," he said. Fleener belongs on the TE1/2 borderline. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 2:06 pm

  • Ryan Switzer will have a 'significant' role
Cowboys OC Scott Linehan expects fourth-round WR Ryan Switzer to have a "significant" role in the team's offense.

Advice: "His role is significant," said Linehan. "He complements [Cole] Beasley and also gives us some big-time needed depth." Linehan called Switzer a "classic slot receiver." Switzer has practiced with the first team at OTAs with Beasley nursing a hamstring injury. Despite Linehan's comments, Switzer will have a tough time earning snaps as long as Beasley is healthy. • Marrone: Fournette impressing as a receiver
Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said he's been pleased with first-round RB Leonard Fournette's pass-catching at OTAs.

Advice: Fournette wasn't asked to catch many passes at LSU (41 catches for 526 yards in three seasons) but he seemed comfortable as a receiver at the Combine and his Pro Day and has kept up the good work at OTAs. Beat reporter Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union only saw Fournette drop one pass during Friday's practice. If Fournette continues to progress as a pass-catcher, he should develop into an every-down back. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:42 am

  • 'Far from certain' Leonte Carroo makes roster
According to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson, it is "far from certain" that 2016 third-round WR Leonte Carroo even makes the Dolphins' 53-man roster.

Advice: Last year's 86th overall pick, Carroo was active 14 times as a rookie, but caught just three passes and was a healthy scratch in the playoff loss. Carroo remains buried behind DeVante Parker, Jarvis Landry, and Kenny Stills. Jackson believes Jakeem Grant, UDFA Drew Morgan, and second-year UDFA Rashawn Scott could push Carroo. Carroo has little-to-no Dynasty value at the moment. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:12 am
