  • Payton on Greg Dulcich: Has some 'exciting skills'
Broncos coach Sean Payton said the team is starting to develop how to use second-year TE Greg Dulcich.

Advice: "The trick is trying to predict what you're going to get defensively — if you're going to get a nickel or base package. But he can run. He's got good ball skills. So you build on that. I think his menu is going to be lengthy in the passing game and there's enough stuff we can do in the run game." Payton plans to use Dulcich in a joker role, lining him up at multiple spots to create mismatches. The Broncos added to the tight end room this offseason, trading for ex-Saints TE Adam Trautman, but Dulcich is the favorite to lead the group in targets. Dulcich was Denver's No. 1 tight end when healthy in 2022, averaging 41 yards per game with 55 targets in six starts. • Burks Tannehill's 'favorite target' at OTAs
Titans.com's Jim Wyatt reports second-year WR Treylon Burks has been QB Ryan Tannehill's "favorite target" at OTAs.

Advice: "It seems like Tannehill connects with Burks at the start of every period, and I haven't seen Burks drop a ball intended for him yet in the open OTAs," Wyatt wrote. Burks was a full participant at Titans' OTAs after conditioning cost him practices as a rookie.  The second-year receiver was a draft winner with the Titans adding only seven-round WR Colton Dowell. Burks projects as the target leader in Tennessee as the No. 1 option in place of Robert Woods.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Saturday, 11:34 am

  • Working as No. 3 back
Williams opened the offseason program working as Washington's No. 3 running back, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports.

Advice: Williams has a real shot to keep the role heading into Week 1, but it wouldn't necessarily make him third in line for touches on offense. He's an experienced special teamer, which means the 29-year-old might technically be active over fellow RBs Chris Rodriguez and Jaret Patterson on gamedays even if one or both of the young backs is ahead of Williams in the pecking order for carries. All are behind Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson, the returning top two in a Washington backfield that could be reevaluated under new offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. • Making case for Year 2 role
Turner "wowed" during training camp last year and is doing the same in practices this spring, Michael Phillips of the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.

Advice: Zach Selby of the Commanders' official website also mentions Turner as one of the standouts from OTAs in May. The 2022 fifth-round pick caught only two passes in 10 games as a rookie last year -- both during a Week 6 contest where injuries forced him into an every-down role -- but it isn't out of the question that Turner could displace soon-to-be 32-year-old Logan Thomas as Washington's top TE this summer. Thomas suffered an Achilles tear in 2021 and averaged only 8.3 yards per catch and 5.3 yards per target in 14 games last season (39-323-1 on 61 targets). Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:53 am

  • Report: Dalvin Cook to Miami a 'real possibility'
The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson reports Vikings RB Dalvin Cook is “a real possibility” for the Dolphins if he’s released.

Advice: The Dolphins trading for Cook also hasn't been ruled out. Cook is currently training in South Florida and open to a fresh start. With Cook coming off shoulder surgery and entering his age-28 season, it's likely he'd need to restructure to facilitate a trade to Miami. The Vikings may look to make a decision on what to do with Cook ahead of mandatory OTAs later this month. NBCSportsEDGE.com Saturday, 10:45 am
