  • Josh Jacobs unwilling to play on tag in 2023?
The Athletic's Tashan Reed reports Raiders running back Josh Jacobs is not interested in playing on the franchise tag in 2023.

Advice: Jacobs responded with three words when asked if he would play on the franchise tag in 2023 if the two sides could not reach a multi-year deal - "Hero turned villain." Jacobs said that the two sides had not yet opened contract discussions but that he expected negotiations to begin in the coming week. Jacobs is coming off his most productive season as a professional, leading the league with 1,653 yards on the ground and finishing with 12 touchdowns and more than 2,000 yards from scrimmage. • Emerges as kick returner
Jackson rushed 42 times for 170 yards and one touchdown while catching 12 of 19 targets for 101 yards and one touchdown over 16 games in 2022.

Advice: After returning just five kicks in his previous four seasons, Jackson suddenly became a respectable kick returner while averaging the seventh-most yards per kick return (26.7) among players with at least 15 attempts. Thanks to an early season injury to Craig Reynolds, the Northwestern product also operated as a capable No. 2 or 3 running back most of the year depending on the availability D'Andre Swift. Now set to hit the open market as an unrestricted free agent, Jackson seems set for a raise relative to the one-year, $980,000 contract he honored this past season. Yesterday, 2:37 pm

  • Dolphins not expected to re-sign Gesicki
The Miami Herald's Daniel Oyefusi doesn't expect the Dolphins to re-sign free agent TE Mike Gesicki.

Advice: Miscast in first-year coach Mike McDaniel’s offense, Gesicki had his fewest snaps (45%), catches (32) and yards (362) since his rookie season. After playing last year on the franchise tag, it's unlikely Gesicki's returns on a long-term deal in Miami. Jaguars TE Evan Engram landed $9 million coming off career lows last offseason and should set the stage for Gesicki's free agent market. Yesterday, 12:52 pm

  • Has charge dismissed
Mixon's charge of aggravated menacing was dismissed by the Hamilton County (Ohio) Municipal Court on Friday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports

Advice: An arrest warrant was issued for Mixon on Thursday, after which the Bengals released a statement: "The club is aware misdemeanor charges have been raised against Joe Mixon. The club is investigating the situation and will not comment further at this time." While the initial charge now isn't actionable, the presiding judge of the court said it could be refiled after further investigation. As such, Mixon doesn't appear to be out of the woods yet on the legal front, meaning punishment from the NFL remains a possibility. Friday, 9:51 pm

  • Toney listed as questionable
Chiefs listed Kadarius Toney (ankle/hamstring) as questionable for Super Bowl LVII against the Eagles.

Advice: Toney went down with the ankle issue in the AFC Championship in the first quarter and was unable to return. The hamstring issue is likely a continuation of what he has been dealing with all year. Andy Reid sounded optimistic about Toney's status earlier this week, though we will get more clarity next week. assuming he goes, Toney will be a boom/bust DFS option for the final slate of the year.
