  • Rivera won't confirm when Cam will practice
Panthers coach Ron Rivera would not confirm if Cam Newton (foot) will return to practice next week.

Advice: "Until he's 100 percent, we're not going to address it," Rivera said. "The young man has done everything we've asked. I'm not going to put pressure on him." In other words, nothing's changed. Newton will only return to practice once his foot is 100 percent healed, and there's clearly no rush to get him back on the field with Kyle Allen helping the team to four consecutive wins in the former MVP's absence. It's probably not the best idea to bring Newton back against San Francisco's ferocious pass rush in Week 8. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:29 am

  • Rodgers has 283 yards, 2 TDs in MNF comeback
Aaron Rodgers completed 24-of-39 passes for 283 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Packers' 23-22, Week 6 win over the Lions Monday night.

Advice: Rodgers' first score was a short one to Jamaal Williams after Aaron Jones dropped a perfectly-thrown seam pass that should have been a 33-yard touchdown. Rodgers was making incredible throws all evening but was also gifted multiple extra throws and sets of downs late in this one by some shoddy officiating. One of those gifts led directly to Rodgers' 35-yard touchdown strike to Allen Lazard, who caught all four of his passes for 65 yards and the score in the fourth quarter after coming on for an injured Geronimo Allison and benched Darrius Shepherd. Rodgers hasn't been a fantasy darling this year but will be on the back-end QB1 map next week against the Raiders. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:10 pm

  • Refs job Lions late as Packers are gifted win
Matthew Stafford completed 18-of-32 passes for 265 scoreless yards in the Lions' 23-22, Week 6 loss to the Packers Monday night.

Advice: The refs completely blew this game late for the Lions and gifted the Packers numerous extra plays and sets of downs in the fourth quarter by calling a pair of phantom illegal hands to the face penalties on Lions DE Trey Flowers, which directly led to a 35-yard Allen Lazard touchdown and the "game-winning" chip-shot field goal to Mason Crosby as time expired. On the final one, the Lions sacked Aaron Rodgers to force a fourth down and long field goal with just under two minutes on the clock and were going to get the ball back. Instead, the Packers kneeled it and kicked a field goal as time expired. Stafford, despite not throwing a touchdown, played well with several big hookups, including 121 yards on five completions to Kenny Golladay. Detroit's issue was settling for too many field goals. The Lions are this hack job by the refs and a last-minute Patrick Mahomes touchdown drive away from being undefeated. The Lions host the Vikings in Week 7. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:24 pm

  • Flores: 'Anticipates Rosen being the guy'
Coach Brian Flores said Monday that he "anticipates Josh being the guy," for the Dolphins' Week 7 matchup against the Bills.

Advice: Flores' full quote was as follows: "I thought Fitz played really well when he went in there. I anticipate Josh being the guy but we're going to do what's best for the team. We'll see how this goes in practice." It'd be silly for the Dolphins to bench Rosen in favor of the team's 36-year-old backup, but tankers gonna tank. The "winner" will be in an absolutely brutal spot in Week 7 in Buffalo. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:40 am

  • Titans to decide QB starter Monday night
Titans coach Mike Vrabel said the team will decide on its starting quarterback Monday night.

Advice: In a demotion that was long overdue, Marcus Mariota was benched for Ryan Tannehill midway through Sunday's loss to Denver. Tannehill fared significantly better than Mariota did Sunday (a low bar to clear given the latter's complete ineptitude), though the two signal-callers share many of the same shortcomings. Mariota doesn't have the strongest supporting cast in Tennessee and his offensive line has hung him out to dry more than a few times this season, but he hasn't been the difference-maker the Titans thought he would be when they drafted him second overall in 2015. The Titans have dropped four of their last five heading into their Week 7 matchup with the Chargers. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:08 am
