    • May still consider holdout
Sutton is still unhappy with his contract and suggested Tuesday that he might consider holding out from training camp, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Advice: It would be unusual for a player to report to June minicamp (the first mandatory team activities of the year) and then hold out for the start of training camp. Sutton revealed earlier this week that he had minor ankle surgery in the offseason and was away from the team during OTAs as a result, but it sounds like displeasure with his contract may also have been a factor. While most of his Tuesday comments reflected optimism about eventually reaching an agreement, Sutton also said negotiations "are at a stalemate in a sense.". He has two years remaining on his contract, scheduled for $13.6 million in compensation this season ($2 million) and $14 million next year (none guaranteed). Sutton's comments suggest he wants a contract extension, but it won't be shocking if he ultimately settles for an adjustment that adds guaranteed money without adding years. Meanwhile, there's no indication of his ankle still being a problem. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago

    • Eagles did not violate anti-tampering policy
The NFL reports, “After a thorough review of the Philadelphia Eagles signing of Saquon Barkley, the NFL today informed the club that the investigation did not discover sufficient evidence to support a finding that the Anti-Tampering policy was violated.”

Advice: The Eagles were facing fines and a potential loss of future draft picks if they were found to be in violation of the anti-tampering policy. In a statement released by the league, the NFL said, “In coming to this conclusion, the league reviewed phone logs, text messages and other documents related to Philadelphia’s free agency strategy and decision to sign Barkley. The NFL also interviewed several members of the organization, including Howie Roseman and Nick Sirianni, as well as Barkley and Penn State head coach James Franklin. As with every review, should new evidence be uncovered, the league may reopen the investigation.” It took nearly two months for the league to thoroughly investigate the matter, so we wouldn’t expect anything new to pop up. It sounds like the Eagles and Barkley are both in the clear as they prepare for the upcoming season. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

    • Falcons lose 2025 fifth-round pick for tampering
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports, “The NFL is docking the Falcons a 2025 fifth-round pick for violating the league’s anti-tampering policy with Kirk Cousins, Darnell Mooney, and Charlie Woerner.”

    • Restructures contract
Hill agreed to restructure his contract Tuesday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: It's a simple restructure, converting 2024 base salary into a signing bonus to push some of his cap hit from the current season into future years. Early reports from training camp suggested new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak was giving Hill more chances as a running back or fullback, but Hill could now see a lot of snaps at tight end following Thursday's announcement that Juwan Johnson will need foot surgery. The Saints hope Johnson will be ready by Week 1, but it sounds like far from a sure thing. Either way, it may be tough to get a good read on Hill's role under a new coordinator until the season is actually underway. Rotowire.com 29 minutes ago

    • Jimmy Graham on retirement: ‘Not sure yet’
Free agent TE Jimmy Graham said he’s “not sure yet” when asked about the possibility of retiring.

Advice: Graham posted what appeared to be a retirement post to his Instagram back in March but said at that time that he was “unsure of what the future holds.” Last season with the Saints, Graham caught six passes for 39 yards and four touchdowns while playing on 171 offensive snaps. The 37-year-old vet is currently trailing for a 1,000-kilometer row across the Arctic Ocean in hopes of setting a world record and has become involved in long-distance biking. Speaking to ESPN, Graham said he will “reach out to the Saints and figure out what’s best, and then make the decision when it’s best” for him to retire, but it sounds like the 13-year vet is close to calling it quits. • Needs foot surgery
Johnson will have foot surgery next week and be out for a while, but he has a chance to be ready for the start of the season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Advice: Johnson seemingly suffered the injury during June minicamp and now figures to miss most or all of training camp and the preseason. His upcoming absence will leave more first-team reps for Foster Moreau and Taysom Hill, neither of whom is a clean fit for Johnson's role as the passing-down tight end. Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports that the Saints are working out TE Sal Cannella, who starred in the UFL this spring and led the league's tight ends in yards (496) and touchdowns (six). • Juwan Johnson (foot) to be sidelined for ‘a while’
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Juwan Johnson is set to undergo surgery on his foot, which will sideline him for “a while.”

Advice: It was reported yesterday that Johnson suffered a lower leg injury. We now know that he suffered a foot injury that will require surgery to fix. Schefter also noted that the “belief for now is that [Johnson] will be back for the start of the season,” but it sounds like he will miss all or most of training camp. Johnson caught 37 passes for 368 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games last season and doesn’t have much fantasy upside outside of being a week-to-week streaming option. His absence should open up more opportunities for Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau this offseason, with Hill being the only fantasy-relevant player at this time. Rotoworld Today, 6:33 am

    • Exits practice with shoulder injury
Smith-Njigba left Wednesday's practice early with a shoulder injury that coach Mike Macdonald doesn't consider serious, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: Macdonald canceled the last day of minicamp (Thursday) to reward his players for a good offseason, so Smith-Njigba's next opportunity to practice will be at the start of training camp in late July. It sounds like the Seahawks expect him to be healthy before then, but we may not have confirmation for a while with players and teams going their separate ways during the league's summer break. • Will head to camp as QB1
Darnold will be the first-team quarterback when Minnesota begins training camp in late July, ESPN.com's Kevin Seifert reports.

Advice: Darnold took all the first-team reps at June minicamp and reportedly looked sharper than 10th overall draft pick J.J. McCarthy. Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell said Wednesday that Darnold will remain the top QB for the start of training camp, but O'Connell cautioned that it's one of the many positions at which he anticipates competition later this summer.
