    • Expects to be healthy soon
Coach John Harbaugh said Thursday that Ojabo will probably be ready to practice in full at some point during training camp, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Ojabo missed most of his sophomore season after sustaining a ruptured ACL in Week 3, but it now looks like he should be back to 100 percent by the start of the 2024 campaign. Through his first two NFL seasons combined, he's appeared in just five games. Rotowire.com 44 minutes ago

    • Signs with Big Blue
Riley signed with the Giants on Thursday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.

Advice: Riley wasn't re-signed by the Steelers after a two-year stint with the team where he recorded just 66 defensive snaps across 17 regular-season games. Indeed, the 25-year-old will need to make an impact on special teams to secure a spot on the 53-man roster in 2024. Rotowire.com Today, 7:59 am

    • Reverts to IR
Haynes (quadriceps) reverted to the Texans' injured reserve list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Advice: Haynes was waived by Houston with an injury designation Tuesday, and he subsequently reverted to IR after clearing waivers. Per Wilson, Haynes and the Texans are working on an injury settlement. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:50 pm

    • Adds weight in offseason
Smith has added 15 pounds during the offseason, Hal Habib of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Advice: Smith put on weight to help him better endure a 17-game season, though he spent much of his rookie campaign on the sideline with just 20 defensive snaps over 15 games. The South Carolina product was a second-round draft pick in 2023, so the lack of opportunities was somewhat surprising. That said, Smith could see the field more often in Year 2 after Vic Fangio was replaced by Anthony Weaver as Miami's defensive coordinator. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:14 pm

    • Dealing with thumb injury
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday that Van Ness is dealing with a broken thumb, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: LaFleur didn't specify when Van Ness suffered the injury, but he downplayed the severity of the issue by saying that the edge rusher "broke his thumb just a little bit." The 2023 first-round pick sat out Green Bay's voluntary OTA session Wednesday, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, so it will be worth monitoring his involvement by the start of the team's mandatory minicamp June 11. Van Ness recorded 32 tackles and four sacks over 17 regular-season games during his rookie season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:04 pm

    • Could wear green dot in 2024
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday that Walker "more than likely" will wear the green dot helmet in 2024 as the Packers' primary defensive communicator, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.

Advice: Walker logged over 100 tackles during both of his first two seasons in Green Bay, making him the team's most proven off-ball linebacker following the release of De'Vondre Campbell, who has since joined San Francisco. The Packers are shifting to a new 4-3 defensive scheme under first-year defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, and the team added Edgerrin Cooper in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft while bringing back veteran Isaiah McDuffie. As such, Walker will still likely have to prove that he's capable of handling a bigger role as Hafley begins to implement his defense this offseason. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:53 pm

    • Misdemeanors filed against Chiefs DL Isaiah Buggs
ESPN’s Adam Teicher reports two misdemeanor warrants have been filed against Chiefs DL Isaiah Buggs on charges of cruelty to dogs in the second degree.

Advice: Buggs was charged in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, where he played college football for the Crimson Tide. Court documents say that two dogs were found on the porch of a home rented by Buggs with no access to food or water. Buggs’ agent, Trey Robinson, denies the charges, saying the dogs do not belong to Buggs and the charges are part of a campaign to force the closure of a hookah lounge he owns in Tuscaloosa. Robinson also stated that Buggs was arrested on misdemeanor chargers twice in the past two months at his hookah lounge, but no public record was made of these arrests. He maintains that this is part of a campaign to force him to surrender his business license. Buggs started his career with three seasons in Pittsburgh, then two with the Lions before joining the Chiefs’ practice squad in January and then re-signing on a futures contract. He is the latest Chief to face legal troubles this offseason. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:37 pm

    • Ready for bigger role
Head coach Todd Bowles said Wednesday that Britt is ready to become a three-down defensive player in 2024, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Advice: Britt has also demonstrated a better grasp of the mental part of the game, according to Bowles. The 24-year-old recorded 29 tackles (16 solo) and one pass defensed last season. He looks poised to take on a bigger role in the upcoming campaign, likely as a starter at inside linebacker next to Lavonte David. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:09 pm

    • Looks good at OTAs
Oweh (thumb) has impressed during the Ravens' organized team activities, Ryan Mink of the team's official website reports.

Advice: Oweh underwent thumb surgery following the 2023 season, but his presence at OTAs indicates he's made a full recovery. Baltimore picked up his fifth-year option earlier this offseason, so Oweh will be on the Ravens' books through the 2025 season. The 31st overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, who has tallied 13 sacks across 45 appearances during his first three seasons, projects to start opposite Kyle Van Noy at outside linebacker during the upcoming season.
