    • Tim Patrick: ‘I felt like myself’ at minicamp
Broncos WR Time Patrick said, “I felt like myself,” when asked about how he felt after wrapping up minicamp.

Advice: Patrick is working his way back from a torn Achilles he suffered in training camp last season. The year before, Patrick saw his 2022 come to an end due to a torn ACL. The veteran receiver is set to enter his eighth season with the Broncos, but hasn’t taken a regular-season snap since 2021. Patrick caught 53 passes for 734 yards and five touchdowns in his last year of play, but his status with the team heading into this season remains very much up in the air. Assuming he makes the 53-man roster, Patrick probably won’t see a significant role as long as the guys ahead of him are healthy. Rotoworld 36 minutes ago

    • Thielen: Bryce Young appears ‘more comfortable’
Adam Thielen said Bryce Young appears “more comfortable” this offseason than he did in 2023.

Advice: “It’s been awesome. Not only him, just a lot of the young guys, a lot of the staff. It’s just been a great offseason to just see some of these guys who haven’t been in the league very long — just the way that they’ve ,” Thielen said on the Rich Eisen Show. “You can tell, Bryce’s demeanor in the building — he’s just more comfortable, right? And you don’t realize it when you start getting to be a veteran guy, just because you forget about those times.” Offseason reports on Young have been unfailingly positive after he was among the worst quarterbacks in the NFL during his 2023 rookie season, in which he had the second worst adjusted EPA per drop back. A more competent Young could lead to solid seasons for short-area pass catchers like Thielen and Diontae Johnson in 2024. Rotoworld Today, 9:30 am

    • Jalin Hyatt says he has put on weight for 2024
Second-year Giants WR Jalin Hyatt, who is listed at 185 pounds, said he has put on weight this offseason.

Advice: Hyatt declined to provide the exact number, though his increased bulk was apparently been a frequent topic of discussion during Giants OTAs. “That was one of the things I wanted to improve on,” Hyatt said. “Playing on the outside, you’re going to get more press coverage and more body-to-body catches. So just getting bigger, getting strong with my catch point, getting stronger with my hands, and so far everything is working.’’ Coach Brian Daboll also believes Hyatt is playing faster this offseason. Hyatt has understandably fallen off the fantasy radar after his quiet rookie campaign and the Giants’ subsequent first-round selection of Malik Nabers, but he’s a sensible, talent-based zero-cost flier in the final rounds of deeper drafts. • Tucker ticketed for more ‘multidimensional’ role?
ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez believes second-year Raiders WR Tre Tucker has "(solidified) his hold not only on a roster spot but also on a more multidimensional role beyond speed.”

Advice: 5-foot-9, 4.4-speed Tucker caught just 19 balls as a third-round rookie last season, though 11 of those came over his final four games. Per Gutierrez, he has been “blowing by poor defensive backs” and “stopping on a dime to run comebacks and outs.” He’s caught the attention of coach Antonio Pierce. “Tre Tucker, different dude,” Pierce gushed. “Looks different. Acts different. Runs different. Catches the ball different. Don’t look at the size; don’t mention that. Watch him play. He’s the biggest guy out there.” Tucker is a distant third on the depth chart behind Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers, but his No. 3 job certainly sounds secured. He’s a late-round freebie behind his older teammates. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:07 pm

    • Lands four-year extension
Stevenson has agreed to a four-year extension with the Patriots, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Advice: Per Schefter, Stevenson's deal is for $36 million, of which $17 million is reportedly guaranteed. The move to extend the 2021 fourth-rounder beyond his current pact solidifies the Patriots backfield ahead of Jerod Mayo's first season as head coach, and with the team transitioning at the QB position, look for Stevenson and fellow RB Antonio Gibson to be key drivers of New England's offense in 2024. Over the course of 12 regular-season games last season, Stevenson logged 156 carries for 619 yards and four touchdowns to go along with 38 catches for 238 yards on 51 targets. As training camp approaches, the 26-year-old has moved past the ankle issue that cost him time down the stretch in 2023, with Stevenson's new contract terms reflecting his continued status as his team's lead back. • Timetable for return TBD
Higbee (knee) remains without a timetable to return, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.

Advice: Higbee suffered ACL and MCL tears during a wild-card loss to the Lions on Jan. 14, and the timing of the injury makes it likely that he'll start training camp on the PUP list. If he's unavailable at the start of the season, the Rams will rely onColby Parkinson, Davis Allen and Hunter Long at tight end. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:18 pm

    • Stevenson gets $36M extension from Patriots
Patriots signed RB Rhamondre Stevenson to a four-year, $36 million contract extension.

Advice: Stevenson said earlier this month that he thought he and the Patriots were “pretty close” to an extension. Now, the 26-year-old back is under contract through the 2028 season and set to lead the Patriots’ backfield under a new regime for the foreseeable future. Stevenson has rushed for 2,265 yards and 14 touchdowns in his three seasons with the team, adding another 121 catches for 782 yards and one touchdown. He averaged a career-worst 4.4 yards per touch last season, but the team is hoping for a much-improved offense with Mac Jones now gone and offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt taking over. Stevenson could be challenged by Antonio Gibson for third-down touches this season but still profiles as an RB2 in PPR leagues. The Patriots are giving Stevenson $17 million in fully guaranteed money on this deal, which also includes an $8 million signing bonus and $12 million worth of incentives. • Early offseason standout
Harrison has impressed throughout OTAs and mandatory minicamp and quickly solidified himself as the top option in Arizona's wide receiver room, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN reports.

Advice: Harrison was fully expected to ascend as the No. 1 target for quarterback Kyler Murray upon being chosen No. 4 overall in April's draft, so it's no surprise that his offseason transition to the NFL has been "pretty seamless," per coach Jonathan Gannon, who also said the rookie has been "everything I expected." By all reports, Harrison has had no issues picking up Arizona's playbook, with positional mate Michael Wilson calling him "very perspicacious," saying "I truly think sky's the limit for [Harrison]." Tight end Trey McBride may represent more real competition for targets than fellow wideouts Wilson or Greg Dortch, but it's easy to envision a scenario where the Cardinals' passing offense is heavily filtered through its top two targets. The biggest question for Harrison will be whether he can live up to his hype immediately, as his ADP has already risen to the early second round of most 2024 fantasy drafts. • Wilson ‘clearly’ playing better than Fields
The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo says Russell Wilson “has clearly been the better quarterback” during the Steelers’ offseason.

Advice: DeFabo added that there doesn’t be much of a competition at quarterback at this time, noting that Wilson “has taken the overwhelming majority of meaningful reps, including on the final day of minicamp, when almost every veteran took off.” He also said Fields “doesn’t often shine in seven-on-seven situations,” which isn’t a great endorsement for him with training camp a month away. Both Wilson and Fields are in career-rebuilding mode after flaming out at their previous stops. Neither is going particularly high in fantasy drafts, with Wilson currently going outside of the top 24 in most best ball drafts. Fields’ rushing ability makes him a potentially high-upside fantasy stash whenever he gets a chance to start, but it sounds like Wilson has a good grip on the job heading into training camp.
