    • Inks in Detroit
The Lions signed McKeon to a contract Thursday.

Advice: McKeon suffered an ankle injury last December and was placed on IR after suiting up for nine games with the Cowboys, in which span he failed to secure either of his two targets. He can contribute both on special teams and as a blocker on offense, and McKeon, who's presumably past his ankle issue, now gets a chance to compete for a depth role with Detroit. • Robert Tonyan set to join Vikings
Vikings signed TE Robert Tonyan, formerly of the Bears.

Advice: Tonyan joined the Bears as a free agent last offseason and caught just 11 passes for 112 scoreless yards while playing primarily behind Cole Kmet. He’s a player with two seasons of 450-plus yards on his resume, including a productive 2020 in which he went for 52-586-11. With that said, Tonyan is once again looking to be banished to the bench behind T.J. Hockenson and veteran Josh Oliver. While it’s possible he’ll work his way onto the field in two tight end sets or due to injuries, he has little to no fantasy upside at this time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:39 am

    • Finds home in Minnesota
Tonyan and the Vikings agreed to terms Thursday on a contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Advice: Tonyan suited up for all 17 games with the Bears last season, but he secured only 11 of 17 targets for 107 yards. He joins a Minnesota tight end room behind T.J. Hockenson (knee), who isn't a lock to be ready for Week 1 as he works his way back from a serious knee injury. That could give Tonyan the opportunity to compete with Josh Oliver and Johnny Mundt for an expanded early season role. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:28 am

    • Participates in offseason program
Mitchell (hand) was seen catching passes last week during the beginning of Detroit's offseason program.

Advice: Mitchell played 15 games during the 2023 regular season while primarily slotting in as a blocking tight end and contributor on special teams, as he caught just two passes. The 24-year-old then missed the Lions' postseason run with a hand injury. Mitchell's return to action during the offseason program likely means he's moved past the injury or the time being, so he'll likely slot back in behind Sam LaPorta and Brock Wright on the depth chart at tight end to begin the 2024 season. • Bengals sign 4th rounder Erick All to rookie deal
Bengals signed TE Erick All to a rookie contract.

Advice: All was selected in the fourth round with the 115th overall pick out of the University of Iowa. While he spent his final collegiate season with the Hawkeyes, he played four seasons at Michigan, with 40 career games and 19 starts. Over that time he caught 75 passes for 864 yards and five TDs. However, All tore the ACL eight games into the 2023 season and is still six months into his recovery, which he’s doing at the Bengals’ facility. “I’m feeling good,” All said about recovery. “Every day I’m feeling good. I’m just ready to attack physical therapy and get back to you know, playing. I feel great. I move great. It’s just a matter of time because things are still healing in there.” It’s unlikely All makes an impact in 2024 given his injury and how hard the transition to the NFL can be for tight ends.

    • Falcons hoard former 49ers TEs, sign Dwelley
Falcons signed TE Ross Dwelley, formerly of the 49ers.

Advice: The Falcons also signed Charlie Woerner earlier in the offseason, another former 49ers tight end. Both should serve as primary blockers behind and alongside the electric Kyle Pitts, who should have the best opportunity of his professional career for a true breakout season. • Titans agree to terms with TE Nick Vannett
Titans signed veteran TE Nick Vannett.

Advice: The two sides agreed to terms on Monday although the terms of the contract have not yet been made public. The eight-year veteran came into the league with the Seahawks in 2016, spending time with the Steelers, Broncos, Saints, Giants, and Chargers since departing Seattle. Vannett carries sparse fantasy value even though the Titans have little in the way of depth behind presumed starter Chigoziem Okonkwo. Rotoworld Monday, 5:14 pm

    • Traveling to Tennessee
The Titans signed Vannett on Monday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.

Advice: The veteran tight end has spent time with six different teams across his eight-year career, and he's now headed to Nashville after agreeing to terms with the Titans. Vannett most recently played with the Chargers, tallying 125 offensive snaps across eight games and recording one reception for three yards in 2023. Expect the 31-year-old to compete for a depth role in Tennessee's tight end room as the offseason progresses. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:29 pm

    • Finds new home in Atlanta
The Falcons signed Dwelley (ankle) on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Advice: Dwelley finished last season on injured reserve after sustaining an ankle injury, but it now seems as if he's moved past the issue. After spending the first six seasons of his NFL career with the 49ers, the 29-year-old tight end has agreed to terms with the Falcons. Across his last three seasons, Dwelley has appeared in 41 games and made two starts, catching eight of his 12 targets for 168 yards and two touchdowns. Despite his underwhelming offensive production, the San Diego product has been a consistent contributor on special teams (619 snaps over the last three years), and he's expected to compete for a similar role in Atlanta.
