    • Exits practice with shoulder injury
Smith-Njigba left Wednesday's practice early with a shoulder injury that coach Mike Macdonald doesn't consider serious, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: Macdonald canceled the last day of minicamp (Thursday) to reward his players for a good offseason, so Smith-Njigba's next opportunity to practice will be at the start of training camp in late July. It sounds like the Seahawks expect him to be healthy before then, but we may not have confirmation for a while with players and teams going their separate ways during the league's summer break. • JSN exits Seahawks minicamp with shoulder issue
Seattle Times’ Bob Condotta reports Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba left Wednesday’s practice early with a shoulder issue.

Advice: Though Smith-Njigba left practice, head coach Mike Macdonald indicated it is not a serious issue. Fellow receiver Laviska Shenault also left early after injuring his toe while offensive tackle George Fant did not practice due to load management. The Seahawks have a few minor injuries through minicamp, but nothing has yet to indicate a serious issue amidst the reports. Macdonald ended minicamp early for the team, so the next updates for Smith-Njigba and the others will come later. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:11 pm

    • Joining Jacksonville
The Jaguars signed Trammell on Wednesday.

Advice: The fourth-year wide receiver out of Rice spent the last three seasons with the Rams and Falcons, but he has now found a new home in Jacksonville. Trammell saw the most action of his career in 2023, when he tallied 183 punt-return yards and 101 kick-return yards. He's expected to compete for a depth role at receiver as well as a return gig with the Jaguars this offseason. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 3:03 pm

    • Jags sign special teamer Austin Trammell
Jaguars signed WR Austin Trammell, formerly of the Rams.

Advice: The Jaguars released interior offensive lineman Jack Anderson in a corresponding move. Trammell earned just 10 targets through three NFL seasons, largely operating as a special teams contributor. His 0.6 missed tackles forced per punt return rank seventh among 26 NFL players with at least 25 total returns. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:08 pm

    • Feels faster than ever
Robinson said Wednesday he's measured new career-high GPS speeds in practice and feels a "night-and-day" difference physically compared to last offseason, when he was rehabbing a serious knee injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Advice: Robinson had his 2022 rookie season cut short due to an ACL tear, and while he returned to play 15 regular-season games in 2023 en route to a 60-525-1 receiving line, it's reasonable to believe that his knee was still less than 100 percent. A truly healthy offseason should pave the road to Robinson taking a step forward Year 3, especially with the addition of rookie first-rounder Malik Nabers to attract more attention from opposing defenses. Still, questions remain about the passing game's overall effectiveness, especially with starting quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) now recovering from an ACL tear of his own. Darius Slayton (undisclosed) is also expected to start in three-wideout sets, with Jalin Hyatt, Allen Robinson Isaiah Hodgins and Isaiah McKenzie competing for depth reps. • Finishes up minicamp strong
Boutte turned in a strong effort during Wednesday's mandatory minicamp session, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.

Advice: On the last day of minicamp practice prior to the Patriots' summer break, Boutte logged a team-high five catches during team drills, which Lazar notes included a sequence in which the 2023 sixth-round pick reeled in three consecutive scores. As the coming season approaches, Boutte will have to compete with the likes of JuJu Smith-Schuster, K.J. Osborn, Tyquan Thornton and Jalen Reagor for slotting in a wideout corps that also includes Kendrick Bourne (knee) -- who is recovering from an ACL tear -- as well as likely roster locks in the youthful trio of DeMario Douglas, Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker. Additionally, it's possible that Boutte faces NFL discipline stemming from his January arrest and subsequent charges of computer fraud and gaming prohibited for persons under 21, which occurred during his time in college at LSU. • Taking part in walkthroughs
Chase has been a limited participant in minicamp this week, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: Chase seems to be opting for a "hold-in" rather than a holdout, as he's shown up for mandatory minicamp but is participating only in walkthroughs and team meetings. The star wideout likely doesn't want to risk an injury while his agent is negotiating a contract extension, so it'll be interesting to see what approach he takes if he's unable to strike an agreement on a new deal before the start of training camp in late July. Fellow receiver Tee Higgins, meanwhile, is missing minicamp without accruing fines, as he still hasn't signed his franchise tag and technically isn't under contract. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:14 am

    • Amari Cooper a no-show at day two of minicamp
Amari Cooper is not in attendance during the second day of Browns minicamp.

Advice: Set to earn $23 million in the final year of his contract, Cooper appears to be holding out for a long-term deal with the Browns. He’s been superb during his two years with the team. Cooper had 72 receptions for 1,250 yards and five touchdowns last season and has gone for 1,100-plus yards in each of his first two seasons with the Browns. Cooper, soon to be 30, will likely work things out with the team before training camp. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:40 am

    • Leaves practice with injury
Slayton (undisclosed) departed Tuesday's practice at mandatory minicamp early due to an apparent injury, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.

Advice: Slayton appeared to sustain an injury after colliding with a teammate, but he was able to walk off the field under his own power. The 27-year-old remains in position to handle a starting role for the Giants, though rookie phenom Malik Nabers is likely the clear No. 1, so the Giants' offense can ill afford to have Slayton miss any time. With tight end Darren Waller having now officially retired, New York is lacking for depth behind Nabers, Slayton and third-year pro Wan'Dale Robinson. If Slayton is sidelined, more reps will open up for Jalin Hyatt, Allen Robinson and Isaiah McKenzie. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:50 pm
