    • Working to regain lost weight
Kittle (core muscle) recently told the Bussin' With The Boys podcast that he lost nearly 30 pounds at the beginning of the offseason while rehabbing injuries.

Advice: Kittle had core muscle surgery after the Super Bowl and was also recovering from shoulder and rib injuries at the time -- a combination that prevented him from doing both upper- and lower-body weightlifting for about a month. He said he's "almost back to 100 percent" and has regained most of the lost weight, but he still wants to add about 10 more pounds before the start of the regular season. It sounds like Kittle will be ready for the beginning of training camp in late July. Rotowire.com Thursday, 9:02 am

    • George Kittle lost 30 pounds after core surgery
George Kittle said he lost around 30 pounds after undergoing core muscle surgery this offseason.

Advice: Kittle in a podcast appearance said he was well below his 250-pound playing weight following his surgery. He sustained the core injury around midseason last year and played through it during the Niners’ Super Bowl run. “I couldn’t lift,” Kittle said. “I couldn’t do any upper body because of my shoulder and my rib, and I couldn’t do lower [body] because of my core surgery. … I didn’t lift from the Super Bowl until like almost mid-March. ... I went a month without doing anything, I wasn’t supposed to do anything.” Kittle, 30, plans to work this summer to gain back the weight he lost ahead of his eighth pro season. Last year, Kittle was tenth among tight ends in receptions (65) and first in receiving yards (1,023). Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:50 pm

    • On track for training camp
Kittle (groin) is recovered from his core-muscle surgery, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Kittle has been a full participant on the practice field at his Tight End University offseason workouts. He founded the three-day camp with fellow tight ends Travis Kelce and the now-retired Greg Olsen. Kittle played through a groin injury last season before undergoing core-muscle surgery in the offseason. He had previously stated his intentions to be ready for training camp, and it appears the star tight end is on track to do just that. He projects to again be a top fantasy option at his position in 2024. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 6:24 pm

    • Pat Freiermuth a top performer this offseason
The Athletic’s Mark Kaboly writes, “Nobody performed better and more consistently for four weeks than Pat Freiermuth.”

Advice: Kaboly went on to add, “Freiermuth might not have dropped a pass all month” and reiterated his “instant connection” with Russell Wilson — something he . Playing in an offense that, outside of George Pickens, looks thin at receiver talent, Freiermuth has a chance to be a key contributor for the Steelers in 2024. Add to that the fact that offensive coordinator Arthur Smith targeted his tight ends 173 times from 2021-2023, the third most of any team in the league, and it’s possible this year is setting up to be the best of Freiermuth’s career. Injuries limited him to just 12 games last season, but in 2022, he caught 63 passes for 732 yards and two touchdowns. Currently going as a fringe TE1/TE2 in fantasy drafts, Freiermuth could turn into a solid value for fantasy managers who opt to wait on the position in drafts. Rotoworld Monday, 5:44 am
