• Gets waived by Carolina
The Panthers waived Camp on Friday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Advice: Camp did not see the field in 2023, and after Carolina added talent at wide receiver in the draft, it opted to cut him. He'll now have to search for another chance with a different franchise. Rotowire.com Today, 2:54 pm

  • Broncos release WR Phillip Dorsett
    Broncos released WR Phillip Dorsett.

Advice: Dorsett joined the Broncos as a member of their practice squad last August and failed to record a catch in either of the two games he appeared in. Dorsett has caught just 27 passes for 367 yards and one touchdown since 2021 and has bounced around four different teams over that span. The 31-year-old speedster could catch on with another team ahead of training camp, but he won’t be expected to make much of an impact wherever he lands. In addition to Dorsett, the Broncos also released defensive tackle Rashard Lawerence. Rotoworld Today, 1:53 pm

  • Done in Denver
Dorsett is slated to be released by the Broncos on Friday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Advice: Dorsett spend the 2023 season on Denver's practice squad, but he won't stick with the team as rookie minicamp gets fully underway. The 2015 first-round pick appeared in two games last season but didn't secure any of his three targets, and he'll now need to search for a depth opportunity elsewhere in the league. • Done with Colts
    Indianapolis waived Bynum on Friday.

Advice: Bynum initially signed with the Colts back in January, but after adding talent at wide receiver in the draft, they decided to part ways with him. He'll now have to look for his next opportunity with a new team. Rotowire.com Today, 1:24 pm

  • Interesting landing spot in Arizona
Jones and the Cardinals agreed to terms on a contract Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Advice: Jones' deal is reportedly a one-year contract worth up to $4.25 million, per Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com. The big-bodied veteran was released by Jacksonville after the team's selection of Brian Thomas in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but he now finds a landing spot in the desert with a clear path to starting in three-wide sets. Rookie fourth overall pick Marvin Harrison profiles as the alpha in Arizona's wideout room, while tight end Trey McBride could be quarterback Kyler Murray's second-most-trusted playmaker, but Jones could well solidify himself over fellow wideout Michael Wilson. Jones was limited to nine games last season, but in 2022, he logged a 82-823-5 receiving line on 121 targets. Rotowire.com Today, 12:40 pm

  • RapSheet: Zay Jones and Cardinals agree to deal
Cardinals signed WR Zay Jones, formerly of the Jaguars, to a one-year contract.

Advice: Jones visited with several teams, including the Titans, Chiefs, and Cowboys, before ultimately joining the Cardinals. He can reportedly earn up to $4.25 million on his deal. The former second-round pick was released by the Jaguars earlier this month after the team drafted LSU’s Brian Thomas Jr. in the first round but has been a coveted receiver on the open market. When he was at his best, Jones turned in an 82-823-5 season with the Jaguars in 2022, but injuries limited him to just nine games and a line of 34-321-2 in 2023. Playing primarily as an outside receiver, Jones should have no trouble earning a role opposite rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. Second-year receiver Michael Wilson could also challenge Jones for snaps, but the rest of the receiver room is relatively thin in Arizona. Jones could have some WR4 upside in PPR leagues if the snaps and targets are there. Rotoworld Today, 12:27 pm

  • Still working back from injury
Coach Doug Pederson said Friday that Davis (knee) is dealing an injury and hasn't been able to do much on-field work since signing with the Jaguars, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Advice: Pederson said Davis, who missed the playoffs last season due to a knee injury suffered Week 18 against the Dolphins, continues to recover several months into the offseason, adding the Jaguars' wide receiver picture will become clearer in OTAs. It doesn't sound like there's any real concern about Davis' availability, but fantasy managers would certainly prefer to hear he gets back on the field and starts establishing a rapport with Trevor Lawrence sooner rather than later. Even with both Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones no longer in Jacksonville, Christian Kirk and rookie first-round pick Brian Thomas represent significant competition for target volume. • Still has role in crowded WR room
Coach Brian Callahan said Thursday that Burks still has a role in Tennessee's wide receiver corps after the team's signing of veteran slot specialist Tyler Boyd, Nick Suss of the Nashville Tennessean reports.

Advice: Callahan said of Burks' offseason "the work that he's put in has been really impressive," per Turron Davenport of ESPN, but the 2022 first-round pick may nonetheless have slid to No. 4 on the depth chart following Boyd's arrival, with Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins entrenched as Will Levis' clear top targets. The 225-pound wideout could still certainly have untapped potential, as he's battled injuries throughout the first two years of his NFL career, but his path to consistent opportunities has grown murkier despite Tennessee most ignoring the WR position in April's draft. For fantasy purposes, at least, Burks' prospects for 2024 will look dim if he's not able to beat out Boyd for the No. 3 role in training camp. Callahan did, at least, say that Burks will earn opportunities to line up both inside and outside. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:38 pm

  • Titans anticipate a ‘good role’ for Treylon Burks
Titans HC Brian Callahan said the team still anticipates a “good role” for Treylon Burks.

Advice: According to Callahan, the signing of Tyler Boyd didn’t have anything to do with Burks’ performance, or lack thereof — which he shared with Burks after the signing. Regardless of what Boyd’s signing means for Burks, it’s hard to overlook his familiarity with Callahan’s system and the fact that he’s a veteran who has provided multiple years of high-end production. In addition to Boyd, Burks also has to find a way to earn targets with DeAndre Hopkins and Calvin Ridley both on the roster. Burks has dealt with injuries throughout his brief career and has a career receiving line of 49-665-1, spanning over 22 career games. It’s difficult to imagine Burks earning enough opportunities to become fantasy-relevant in 2024, but time will tell as we begin to learn more about how he’s being used in training camp.
