After receiving a positive draft slot (No. 5 overall), Patriot Killer had a wonderful performance. After picking up multiple Seahawks in the early rounds (Russell Wilson and Chris Carson), Patriot Killer are predicted to finish 2nd in Motor City Football with a mark of 9-5 (4,046 points).

  • Michael Thomas

Biggest Steal: Patriot Killer notched a late-round bargain when they picked up Thomas with the 5th pick of the 17th round, about seven rounds later than his ADP of 97. Following a season in which he caught 40 balls for 438 yards in 7 games, totaling 84 fantasy points, Thomas is projected to score 207 fantasy points with the Saints. That makes him the No. 7 WR for this squad.

  • Mecole Hardman

Going out on a Limb: Are you in a sharing mood? We'd love to hear what prompted the selection of Hardman with the 6th pick in the 6th round, about seven rounds earlier than his ADP of 125. To be fair, you might be onto something. Projected to score 273 fantasy points this season with the Chiefs, he appears set to surpass last year when he recorded 41 catches for 560 yards and 4 TDs to earn 147 fantasy points. Hardman will slot in as the No. 2 WR for Patriot Killer, based on projected points.

Draft Notes

  • If you're not first, you're last, so good thing you were first. You got the jump on your opponents at quarterback, drafting Patrick Mahomes (No. 5 overall) as the first QB off the board. You were more patient at running back, becoming the last manager in the league to draft a RB with the selection of Chris Carson (No. 25 overall).

  • Patriot Killer face a tough task in Week 7 when they have four players on a bye (Diontae Johnson, Mike Williams, Buffalo, and Tony Pollard). On the bright side, your Week 7 opponent -- LIONPWR -- will also be tackling their worst bye week with six players getting the week off.

  • With a strength of schedule that ranks as the 3rd-easiest according to projected records, Patriot Killer have one of the lightest schedules in Motor City Football this season.

  • In spite of unfilled slots at RB and WR in the 8th round, Patriot Killer chose TE Mark Andrews with the 76th pick, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position at the expense of a more important position. They were the earliest squad to make their first flex pick.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
