Having the first pick in the draft doesn't always yield a championship. But it very well could in this case. Andre's Team did what top-tier fantasy footballers do when they land the No. 1 overall pick. They put together a juggernaut. The team is notably deep at running back, as Christian McCaffrey and Ronald Jones II are slated to combine for the highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league. Andre's Team are predicted to finish in first place in Fantasy Football 2021 with a mark of 13-1 (2,235 points).

  • Cleveland

On the Run: Andre's Team initiated a run on the position, taking the Browns in the 9th round as the first DEF off the draft board. Seven more defensive units came off the board in the subsequent round. After a season in which the unit notched 97 fantasy points, Cleveland is projected to score 117 fantasy points this season.

  • Chase Claypool

Stretch Pick: You must have had an inside man when making the decision to choose Claypool with the 14th pick in the 4th round, about 23 picks earlier than his ADP of 79. You may be onto something, though. Projected to score 208 fantasy points this season with the Steelers, he seems set to top his rookie year when he racked up 62 receptions for 873 yards and 9 TDs, totaling 184 fantasy points. Claypool will slot in as the No. 2 WR for Andre's Team, according to projections.

Draft Notes

  • Andre's Team are particularly thin at running back, drafting fewer than any team in the league with just three, lagging the league average of 4.6.

  • Week 13 will be a tough challenge for Andre's Team, as they have three players on a bye (Christian McCaffrey, Ryan Tannehill, and Cleveland). Luckily, your Week 13 opponent, Mr big puff, will be tackling a similar conundrum with two players (Aaron Rodgers and Darrynton Evans) on the sideline.

  • According to projected records, Andre's Team have one of the hardest schedules in the late stages in Fantasy Football 2021 with a second-half strength of schedule ranked as the 3rd-most difficult. Even so, for the season as a whole, Andre's Team should expect a pretty fair path rated as the 10th toughest.

  • Andre's Team clearly focused on scooping up elite talent, having compiled a Stars-and-Scrubs style group of players. The top players from each position, as a group, are quite potent, slated to tally the most points in Fantasy Football 2021. The rest of the roster, on the other hand, is less inspiring, as they're predicted to combine for a point total ranking 12th.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
