Having the top pick in the draft doesn't guarantee a championship. It very well could in this case, though. Sharks did what elite fantasy owners do when they land the No. 1 overall pick. They built a juggernaut. The team is particularly tough at the running back position, as Saquon Barkley and Devin Singletary are expected to combine for the highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league. Sharks are projected to finish in first place in Ocean with a mark of 12-1 (7,857 points).

  • Jalen Reagor

Biggest Steal: What a late-round value for Sharks, who picked up Reagor at No. 217, about eight rounds later than his ADP of 127. Reagor is projected to score 468 fantasy points with the Eagles, which would make him a valuable No. 3 WR for this squad.

  • Aaron Rodgers

Going out on a Limb: You might have gotten a little ahead of yourself when deciding to draft Rodgers at No. 73, about 23 slots earlier than his ADP of 96. Projected to score 720 fantasy points this season with the Packers, he'll be looking to match last year when he threw for 4,002 yards and 26 TDs with 4 interceptions to earn 732 fantasy points. According to projections, Rodgers will slot in as the No. 3 QB for Sharks to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • Sharks seem to be all in on the Seahawks this season, as the selections of Russell Wilson, Seattle, and Greg Olsen give them three players from Seattle, tied for the most of any team in your league. League-wide, the Saints were the most popular team, as 14 of them were selected in the draft.

  • Sharks face a difficult challenge in Week 8 when they have seven players on a bye, led by Courtland Sutton, Brandin Cooks, and Carlos Hyde. Adi's Team, your Week 8 opponent, will have four players on a bye week.

  • With a first-half strength of schedule rated as the most difficult according to projections, Sharks have a tough road early in the season in Ocean. In spite of that, for the season as a whole, Sharks face a pretty fair schedule that ranks as the 7th toughest.

  • Sharks put together an impressive squad across the board. Collectively, the top players from each position are forecasted to tally the 2nd-most points in the league. Stars-and-Scrubs? Nah, more like Stars-and-Stars, as the rest of the roster is expected to combine for a point total ranking 1st.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
