After receiving a favorable draft slot (No. 4 overall), Heavy Pettine had an excellent showing. With Christian McCaffrey and Todd Gurley II slated to combine for the 2nd-highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league, Heavy Pettine are projected to finish 1st in League of the Ordinary with a mark of 11-2 (3,232 points).

  • Deebo Samuel

Best Pick: Heavy Pettine scored a nice late-round bargain with the pick of Samuel with the 7th pick of the 12th round, about two rounds later than his ADP of 97. Coming off a rookie season in which he hauled in 57 balls for 802 yards and 3 TDs, totaling 208 fantasy points, Samuel is projected to score 263 fantasy points with the 49ers. That makes him a valuable No. 2 WR for this squad.

  • Antonio Gibson

Reach Pick: Do you know something everybody else doesn't? There's no other reason you would select Gibson at No. 64, about four rounds earlier than his ADP of 114. Gibson is projected to score 272 fantasy points this season with the Redskins. Gibson will slot in as the No. 4 RB for Heavy Pettine, according to projected points.

Draft Notes

  • Better late than never. With the selection of WR Amari Cooper (No. 44 overall), you became the last manager in the league to draft a wide receiver.

  • Week 8 will bring on a case of the Bye Week Blues for Heavy Pettine, as they have six players on a bye, led by Lamar Jackson, J.K. Dobbins, and Antonio Gibson. Your Week 8 opponent, Swany's Sackers, won't be quite as encumbered with only two players (Melvin Gordon III and Adrian Peterson) on the sideline.

  • Heavy Pettine have drawn one of the least daunting schedules in League of the Ordinary this season according to projected records with a strength of schedule that ranks as the 2nd easiest.

  • Heavy Pettine must be trying to catch lightning in a bottle, putting together a squad with an average of 3.6 years of NFL experience, ranking as the youngest group in the league. Driving home that point, they selected two rookies (Antonio Gibson and J.K. Dobbins), the highest total of first-year players in the league. In total, there were 10 rookies selected over the course of the League of the Ordinary draft.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
