Gifted a juicy draft position (No. 3 overall), Ickey Shuffle had an outstanding performance. The team is particularly deep at running back, as Ezekiel Elliott and Melvin Gordon III are slated to combine for the 2nd-highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league. Ickey Shuffle are predicted to finish 2nd in Mediacurrent with a record of 11-3 (2,047 points).

  • James Washington

Biggest Steal: What a great late-round value for Ickey Shuffle, who picked up Washington in the 17th round, about seven rounds later than his ADP of 123. Coming off a rookie season in which he snagged 16 passes for 217 yards and 1 TD in 12 games, totaling 28 fantasy points, Washington is projected to score 76 fantasy points with the Steelers. That makes him the No. 5 WR for this squad.

  • Marquez Valdes-Scantling

Going out on a Limb: Are you friends with Denzel Washington? Because you must have had an "Inside Man" telling you to draft Valdes-Scantling in the 9th round, about 25 picks earlier than his ADP of 124. Then again, you could be onto something? Projected to score 101 fantasy points this season with the Packers, he looks set to take a step forward from his rookie year when he caught 38 passes for 581 yards and 2 TDs, earning 73 fantasy points. Based on projected points, Valdes-Scantling will slot in as the No. 4 WR for Ickey Shuffle to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • With only two kickers off the board, Ickey Shuffle saw a run looming and got in early, taking Justin Tucker in the 11th round. In the subsequent round, four more kickers were chosen.

  • The early bird gets the worm. You got the jump on your opponents at tight end, drafting Travis Kelce (No. 22 overall) as the first TE off the board.

  • Week 12 could bring on a case of the Bye Week Blues for Ickey Shuffle, as they have four players on a bye (Melvin Gordon III, Travis Kelce, Los Angeles, and Justin Jackson). Kyle's Team, your Week 12 opponent, won't be quite as encumbered with only one player (Mike Williams) on a bye.

  • Based on projected records, Ickey Shuffle have a fairly balanced schedule in Mediacurrent this season with a strength of schedule ranked middle-of-the-pack.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
