Starting with a juicy draft position (No. 3 overall), SchMoke's Goons had an excellent performance. After picking up multiple Saints in the early rounds (Alvin Kamara and Jared Cook), SchMoke's Goons are predicted to finish 1st in WHAT?! Radio Football - IX with a record of 12-2 (1,684 points).

  • Patrick Mahomes

Biggest Steal: What an early bargain for SchMoke's Goons, who got Mahomes in the 3rd round, about 18 slots later than his ADP of 17. Coming off a season in which he threw for 5,097 yards and 50 TDs with 12 INTs, totaling 429 fantasy points, Mahomes is projected to score 401 fantasy points with the Chiefs. That makes him a valuable No. 1 QB for this squad.

  • Mohamed Sanu

Going out on a Limb: You must have had some inside info when deciding to select Sanu in the 7th round, about 28 picks earlier than his ADP of 127. Projected to score 118 fantasy points this season with the Falcons, he'll attempt to match last year when he snagged 66 balls for 838 yards and 4 TDs to earn 116 fantasy points. Based on projections, Sanu will slot in as the No. 2 WR for SchMoke's Goons to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • The early bird gets the worm. You got the jump on your opponents at quarterback, drafting Patrick Mahomes (No. 35 overall) as the first QB off the board. You demonstrated more patience at wide receiver, becoming the last owner in the league to draft a WR with the selection of Alshon Jeffery (No. 62 overall).

  • Week 9 could be a rude awakening for SchMoke's Goons, as they have four players on a bye (Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara, Mohamed Sanu, and Jared Cook). Your Week 9 opponent, REAPERS, will have a full squad with no players on a bye week.

  • Based on projected records, SchMoke's Goons face one of the lightest schedules in WHAT?! Radio Football - IX this season with a strength of schedule that rates as the 4th easiest.

  • With the oldest group in the league at an average of 8.8 years of NFL experience, SchMoke's Goons have put together a fairly old roster. Case in point: they didn't select any of the 20 rookies drafted.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
