After drawing a juicy draft position (No. 3 overall), Budd Light had an excellent performance. After picking up multiple Rams in the early rounds (Todd Gurley II and Robert Woods), Budd Light are projected to finish 1st in Motor City Football with a record of 9-4 (3,419 points).

  • Mohamed Sanu

Best Pick: Budd Light scored a fantastic late-round value when they picked up Sanu in the 18th round, about five rounds later than his ADP of 127. Coming off a season in which he caught 66 passes for 838 yards and 4 TDs, totaling 183 fantasy points, Sanu is projected to score 183 fantasy points with the Falcons. That makes him the No. 5 WR for this squad.

  • Jameis Winston

Going out on a Limb: Did you lose a bet? We're wondering why else you would select Winston at No. 63, about five rounds earlier than his ADP of 116. You might be onto something, though. Projected to score 400 fantasy points this season with the Buccaneers, he looks poised to take a step forward from last year when he threw for 2,992 yards and 19 TDs with 14 interceptions over 11 games, totaling 273 fantasy points. Based on projections, Winston will slot in as the No. 2 QB for Budd Light to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • If you're not first, you're last. You got the jump on your opponents at quarterback, drafting Patrick Mahomes (No. 3 overall) as the first QB off the board.

  • Budd Light face a difficult challenge in Week 6 when they have five players on a bye (Antonio Brown, John Brown, Jalen Richard, Jack Doyle, and Adam Vinatieri). Your Week 6 opponent, Naked Bootlegs, will have three players (Nyheim Hines, Tarik Cohen, and Devin Funchess) on a bye week.

  • According to projections, Budd Light have one of the best schedules in Motor City Football this season with a strength of schedule that rates as the 3rd easiest.

  • With the 2nd-oldest group in the league at an average of 6.2 years of NFL experience, Budd Light appear to have prioritized experience. Case in point: they didn't select any of the 11 rookies drafted.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
