Having the top pick in the draft doesn't always lead to championships. In this case, however, it very well could. The Phantom Thieves did what top-tier fantasy footballers do when they land the No. 1 overall pick. They built a juggernaut. The team is especially tough at the running back position, as Saquon Barkley and Aaron Jones are slated to combine for the highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league. The Phantom Thieves are predicted to finish in first place in Junior Members League with a mark of 11-2 (1,876 points).
- Adrian Peterson
Biggest Steal: The Phantom Thieves scored a fantastic late-round value in picking Peterson at No. 168, about four rounds later than his ADP of 122. After a season in which he ran for 1,042 yards and 7 TDs and had 20 catches for 208 yards and 1 TD, totaling 179 fantasy points, Peterson is projected to score 99 fantasy points with the Redskins. That makes him a valuable No. 4 RB for this squad.
- Tyler Boyd
Reach Pick: Either you know something nobody else does or you jumped the gun with your selection of Boyd in the 5th round, about 17 picks earlier than his ADP of 66. Projected to score 185 fantasy points this season with the Bengals, he'll aim to match last year when he grabbed 76 balls for 1,028 yards and 7 TDs in 14 games to post 183 fantasy points. Based on projected points, Boyd will slot in as the No. 2 WR for The Phantom Thieves to begin the season.
Draft Notes
-
Patience is a virtue. You became the last owner in the league to draft a wide receiver with your selection of Tyler Boyd (No. 49 overall).
-
Week 11 could bring a tough task for The Phantom Thieves, as they have three players on a bye (Saquon Barkley, Aaron Jones, and Corey Davis). On the bright side, your Week 11 opponent, Zero Blitz Dilemma, will be tackling a similar quandary with two players (Davante Adams and Mason Crosby) on the sideline.
-
With a strength of schedule rated as the 4th best based on projected records, The Phantom Thieves have a fairly balanced path in Junior Members League this season.
-
Even with remaining openings at QB, WR, and TE in the 3rd round, The Phantom Thieves chose RB Aaron Jones with the 25th pick, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position at the expense of a more important position. They were the first squad to make their first flex pick.

How We Grade
Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
