Having the first pick in the draft doesn't guarantee a championship-caliber squad. But it very well could in this case. Redlegs did what top-tier fantasy footballers do when they land the No. 1 overall pick. They constructed a juggernaut. After picking up multiple Rams in the early rounds (Todd Gurley II and Robert Woods), Redlegs are predicted to finish in first place in OklahomIraqis League AFC with a mark of 11-2 (2,407 points).
- Ty Montgomery
Best Pick: What a outstanding late-round bargain for Redlegs, who selected Montgomery with the 14th pick in the 12th round, about three rounds later than his ADP of 122. Following a season in which he rushed for 273 yards and 3 TDs and recorded 23 receptions for 173 yards and 1 TD in 8 games, totaling 92 fantasy points, Montgomery is projected to score 88 fantasy points with the Packers. That makes him a valuable No. 4 RB for this squad.
- Kenny Stills
Going out on a Limb: We're going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you stepped away right before the selection of Stills with the 1st pick in the 7th round, about two rounds earlier than his ADP of 130. You may be onto something, though. Projected to score 157 fantasy points this season with the Dolphins, he appears poised to beat last year when he recorded 58 catches for 847 yards and 6 TDs, earning 138 fantasy points. According to projections, Stills will slot in as the No. 5 WR for Redlegs to begin the season.
Draft Notes
-
Redlegs are in for a rude awakening in Week 5 when they have three players on a bye (Tarik Cohen, Allen Robinson II, and Jordan Howard). War Pony, your Week 5 opponent, won't be nearly as limited with only one player (Cameron Brate) getting the week off.
-
Redlegs have one of the toughest schedules early in the season in OklahomIraqis League AFC according to projections with a strength of schedule for the first four weeks rated as the 3rd-most difficult. Despite that, for the full season, Redlegs have drawn a pretty fair path ranked as the 10th hardest.
-
With the 3rd-oldest group in the league at an average of 6.3 years of NFL experience, Redlegs have compiled a fairly old squad. In spite of that, they still selected one rookie (James Washington). In total, there were 23 rookies selected over the course of the OklahomIraqis League AFC draft.
-
Despite unfilled positions at QB and TE in the 6th round, Redlegs drafted WR Robert Woods at No. 84, taking advantage of the multiple flex positions.

How We Grade
Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
