Despite drawing the No. 7 overall pick, Roughnecks drafted a roster that may struggle to earn wins. Opponents are likely to enjoy beating them on a weekly basis, as this team is projected to finish 14th in OklahomIraqis League NFC. Roughnecks are looking at a record of 1-12 (2,165 points).

  • Adrian Peterson

Most Likely to Improve: The RB seems poised to take the biggest jump from last year of all the offensive selections by Roughnecks. Coming off a season in which he ran for 529 yards and 2 TDs and recorded 11 receptions for 70 yards in 10 games, totaling 80 fantasy points, Peterson is projected to score 148 fantasy points with the Redskins, a 88% gain. That makes him a valuable No. 3 RB for this squad.

  • Randall Cobb

Stretch Pick: We'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you got distracted right before selecting Cobb in the 5th round, about four rounds earlier than his ADP of 123. To be fair, you could be onto something. Projected to score 169 fantasy points this season with the Packers, he seems set to take a step forward from last year when he had 66 receptions for 653 yards and 4 TDs in 14 games, earning 127 fantasy points. Cobb will slot in as the No. 4 WR for Roughnecks, according to projected points.

Draft Notes

  • Patience is a virtue. You became the last owner in the league to draft a wide receiver with your selection of Chris Hogan (No. 50 overall).

  • Roughnecks face a tough task in Week 9 when they have four players on a bye (Joe Mixon, Zach Ertz, Mike Wallace, and J.J. Nelson). Fortunately, your Week 9 opponent, The Dogs of War, will be facing a similar issue with three players (Leonard Fournette, Donte Moncrief, and Darren Sproles) getting the week off.

  • With a strength of schedule that rates as the most difficult based on projected records, Roughnecks face an uphill battle in OklahomIraqis League NFC this season. That doesn't mean you're destined to lose, though. You can't control strength of schedule, but you can control your team. There are countless methods to improve over the course of the season as long as you stay involved.

  • Roughnecks waited until all of their individual offensive positions were filled before drafting RB Adrian Peterson at No. 106 as the first flex player on the roster.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
