Blessed with a solid draft position (No. 3 overall), expectations were high for Arrogant Americans. After they drafted, however, those expectations vanished immediately, as this team is on track for a unexceptional 9th-place finish in OklahomIraqis League NFC. Some good news: the team is notably strong at running back, as David Johnson and Chris Thompson are expected to combine for the 4th-highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league. Arrogant Americans are projected to post a record of 5-8 (2,262 points).

  • Russell Wilson

Biggest Steal: Arrogant Americans scored a tremendous early-round bargain in picking Wilson at No. 59, about 16 picks later than his ADP of 43. After a season in which he threw for 3,983 yards and 34 TDs with 11 INTs and ran for 586 yards and 3 TDs, totaling 373 fantasy points, Wilson is projected to score 399 fantasy points with the Seahawks. That makes him a valuable No. 1 QB for this squad.

  • Keelan Cole

Stretch Pick: It seems everyone thinks they're a fantasy expert nowadays, so there's no telling where you got the idea to draft Cole in the 8th round, about 18 spots earlier than his ADP of 128. Granted, you may be onto something. Projected to score 147 fantasy points this season with the Jaguars, he appears poised to take a step forward from his rookie year when he grabbed 42 passes for 748 yards and 3 TDs to earn 139 fantasy points. According to projections, Cole will slot in as the No. 4 WR for Arrogant Americans to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • With only one quarterback off the board, Arrogant Americans predicted a run looming and jumped in early, taking Russell Wilson in the 5th round. In the subsequent round, three more quarterbacks came off the board.

  • Week 9 could bring on a case of the Bye Week Blues for Arrogant Americans, as they have four players on a bye (David Johnson, T.Y. Hilton, Keelan Cole, and Ricky Seals-Jones). Perhaps leveling the playing field, Dead Again, your Week 9 opponent, will be facing a similar struggle with three players (Carson Wentz, Jake Elliott, and Corey Grant) getting the week off.

  • Arrogant Americans have one of the hardest schedules in OklahomIraqis League NFC this season based on projections with a strength of schedule that rates as the 3rd-most difficult. Don't lose hope, though. Strength of schedule doesn't factor in how active you are. There are countless paths to improve over the course of the season for owners who remain involved.

  • Even with openings on offense at WR and TE in the 6th round, Arrogant Americans chose RB Kerryon Johnson at No. 82, filling the WR/RB flex position rather than a position of greater need.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
