After drawing a juicy draft position (No. 3 overall), Mat PcAfee had an exceptional performance. After picking up multiple Patriots in the early rounds (Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady), Mat PcAfee are projected to finish 1st in Stampede Blue's First Twelve with a record of 12-1 (2,117 points).

  • Tom Brady

Biggest Steal: Mat PcAfee netted a tremendous early bargain in choosing Brady in the 5th round, about two rounds later than his ADP of 35. Following a season in which he threw for 4,577 yards and 32 TDs with 8 interceptions, totaling 360 fantasy points, Brady is projected to score 425 fantasy points with the Patriots. That makes him a valuable No. 1 QB for this squad.

  • Brandin Cooks

Regression Candidate: The WR is expected to be the least likely to live up to last year among the offensive selections by Mat PcAfee. After a season in which he grabbed 65 balls for 1,082 yards and 7 TDs, totaling 189 fantasy points, Cooks is projected to score 197 fantasy points with the Rams, a 11% decline. That makes him the No. 4 WR for this squad.

Draft Notes

  • The early bird gets the worm. You got the jump on your opponents at tight end, drafting Rob Gronkowski (No. 22 overall) as the first TE off the board.

  • Week 9 could bring on a case of the Bye Week Blues for Mat PcAfee, as they have four players on a bye (Alshon Jeffery, Jay Ajayi, Jake Elliott, and Austin Seferian-Jenkins). Your Week 9 opponent, , will have an abundance of options without any players on a bye.

  • Mat PcAfee have compiled a potent roster from top to bottom. The top players from each position, as a group, are slated to score the most points in the league. This is no Stars-and-Scrubs story either, as the rest of the roster is predicted to combine for a point total that would rank 1st.

  • With the choice of RB Marshawn Lynch with the 75th pick, Mat PcAfee turned to the WR/RB/TE flex position for the first time after filling all of the individual offensive positions.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
