Jack Attack X took advantage of the top pick in the draft and built the kind of roster that makes opponents "go out of town" or "spend time with the kids" when they see your team on the schedule. While the rest of the league runs and hides, Jack Attack X is projected to finish first in Tailgate Crashers League at 12-2-0 (1,797 points). They used a conservative plan early to fill out their lineup, selecting QB Tom Brady (32nd overall), RBs David Johnson (1st) and DeMarco Murray (17th), and WRs Dez Bryant (16th) and Tyreek Hill (33rd). They ultimately have the most prolific group of RBs in the league, as they added Johnson, Murray, and Mark Ingram.

Jack Attack X should use Week 9 to think about anything other than fantasy football, like, based on principal, should vegetarians be allowed to eat animal crackers? They have four players and the most projected fantasy points on bye that week. Based on their opponents' projected points, they have the least challenging schedule. In addition to having the easiest overall schedule, Jack Attack X has the softest last four games of the season.

Draft Notes

  • Captain Obvious

Selecting starting RBs should be a simple task most weeks for Jack Attack X, as the projected point difference between their second-ranked (DeMarco Murray) and third-ranked (Mark Ingram) RBs is significant.

  • Good Luck With That One!

Jack Attack X will have some intriguing decisions to make each week at WR, with a narrow projected points difference between their third- (Julian Edelman), fourth- (Emmanuel Sanders), and fifth-ranked (Tyreek Hill) wideouts.

  • Separating the Wheat from the Chaff

At three different positions, Jack Attack X picked up projected top-two players (David Johnson, Tom Brady, and New England).

  • Tread Left on the Tires

With an average of 7.7 years of NFL experience, Jack Attack X is the team most likely to have a player become a grandpa.

  • Nearly There

The top half of the Jack Attack X roster is one of the strongest in the league (ranked No. 1). However, the bottom of the roster is among the weakest (ranked No. 6).

  • Team of Champions

Jack Attack X is fielding a team of fantasy MVPs. Last season, four of their players were among the top-20 players that were on the most championship rosters across all Yahoo! leagues, including David Johnson, DeMarco Murray, and Tom Brady.

Player Analysis

    • David Johnson, RB
    • Round 1, Pick 1
    Poised to Repeat?

Leading the league in touches and all running backs in targets, Johnson showed up on more first-place fantasy rosters than any other NFL player last season. Oh, we nearly forgot: he led all players with 20 touchdowns last year, too.

    • Dez Bryant, WR
    • Round 2, Pick 16
Possession is Nine-Tenths of the Law

Dez Bryant is expected to be a strong possession receiver this year, and his 94 projected catches rank sixth in the league.

    • DeMarco Murray, RB
    • Round 3, Pick 17
    Haters Gonna Hate

The rest of Tailgate Crashers League overlooked a gem, and Jack Attack X made the swaggiest pick of the round by grabbing DeMarco Murray.

    • Tom Brady, QB
    • Round 4, Pick 32
    Brilliant Brady

For the second consecutive year, Tom appeared on more championship rosters than any other QB. He's averaged 297.3 yards, 2.3 TDs, and 0.3 INTs per regular-season game over that stretch.

    • Tyreek Hill, WR
    • Round 5, Pick 33
    Rethinking That One

Tyreek Hill may not justify his 33rd overall draft pick if projections hold true. Currently, he is estimated to fall outside the NFL's top-50 in both yards (69th with 758) and TDs (88th with 4.6).

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
