The GM of Dak to the Future took the third overall pick and handled it like a seasoned professional. After putting their sweet drafting skills on display for the rest of the league, they're left with a squad that's projected to finish second in Payton34 FFL League with a record of 10-3-0 (1,340 points). If they have a bad season, it won't be due to a lack of wide receivers, as they used three of their first five selections to pick up WRs Dez Bryant (second round), Alshon Jeffery (fourth round), and Golden Tate (fifth round). Dak to the Future will rely heavily on this group, as they are one of the best groups of WRs in the league.

Dak to the Future should use Week 6 to consider life's great mysteries, like why Greenland is ice and Iceland is green. It would be better than checking fantasy football that week. They have four players and the most projected fantasy points on bye that week. Taking a look at the season from start to finish, they have the softest schedule. Dak to the Future has the opportunity to start and finish with a flurry, as both the first four games and final four games of their season are projected to be less difficult than the league average.

Draft Notes

  • A Triumvirate of Talent

Dak to the Future has three above-average positions on their roster (WR, QB, and RB).

  • Close to the Vest

Dak to the Future was focused on a squad with minimal volatility, grabbing six "low-risk" players out of 13 picks.

  • My One and Only

Ignoring roster depth, Dak to the Future chose only one player at three different positions (TE, DEF, and K).

  • Beginning with a Bang

Dak to the Future got off to a sizzling start, amassing the most projected points in the league during the first half of the draft.

  • Mr. Mendoza

Darren Sproles is owned in only 4% of all Yahoo! leagues. Let's hope that a.) Dak to the Future has some solid inside information, or b.) he's a close friend of the family.

Player Analysis

    • Le'Veon Bell, RB
    • Round 1, Pick 3
Le'Veon Bell Doesn't Read the Playbook

The playbook reads him. Dak to the Future should be in decent shape if Bell gets his 327 projected touches this year.

    • Dez Bryant, WR
    • Round 2, Pick 17

Defenses Hate Him, Quarterbacks Love Him! Dez Bryant is expected to catch almost everything this year, as his 94 projected receptions rank fifth in the league.

    • Golden Tate, WR
    • Round 5, Pick 59
    A Bit of a Reach

Dak to the Future went out on a limb with their fifth-round pick. Across all Yahoo! leagues, Golden Tate has an ADP of 75.4, but he was grabbed at pick No. 59. Patience is a virtue, Dak to the Future.

    • Andrew Luck, QB
    • Round 6, Pick 73
    Super Signal-Caller

Andrew Luck is projected to rack up 322 points this year, good enough to rank third among all QBs.

    • E. Sanders, WR
    • Round 7, Pick 87
    The Heist Is On

The other league managers passed over a diamond in the rough. According to ADP, Dak to the Future got a steal in snatching Emmanuel Sanders in the seventh round (87th overall pick vs. ADP of 57.4).

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
