Thanks to a successful draft by the obviously skilled GM, Apollo turned the not-so-favorable fifth overall pick into a projected finish of first. They're expected to go 14-0-0 (3,222 points) in RR Fantasy Dynasty League - S6 League.

Apollo took advantage of 27 of their 30 keeper positions, stockpiling WRs. They held on to three WRs among their most-important keepers-- Odell Beckham Jr. (5.3 ADP), Mike Evans (7.7 ADP), and Dez Bryant (18.6 ADP). Their keepers all have at least third-round ADP value. Overall, the keepers on Apollo are projected to be substantially more valuable (by 10.7%) than the draft picks that they replaced.

Whether by good fortune or well-planned strategy, Apollo has secured a favorable bye week schedule for their superstars. Of their top five players in projected points, none share a common off week. Based on their opponents' projected points, they have the softest schedule. Along with having the easiest overall schedule, Apollo also has the second-easiest first four games of the season.

Draft Notes

  • Jumping on the G-Men

With four Giants on their roster, the fantasy hopes of Apollo rest heavily on the fortunes of Eli's crew.

  • Like Choosing your Favorite Kardashian

Apollo will have some tricky calls to make each week at RB, with a slim projected points difference between their third- (Ty Montgomery), fourth- (Marshawn Lynch), and fifth-ranked (Tevin Coleman) RBs.

  • Strength in Numbers

In order, the three best positions for Apollo are RB, TE, and WR.

  • Team of Champions

Apollo is fielding a team of fantasy MVPs. Last season, four of their players were among the top-20 players that were on the most championship rosters across all Yahoo! leagues, including Drew Brees, Mike Evans, and Le'Veon Bell.

  • Sustained Domination

Apollo accumulated the most projected points in the first half of the draft, and didn't take their foot off the pedal by snagging the most points in the draft's second half, as well.

  • Super Sleepers

Dalvin Cook and Marshawn Lynch are a couple of late-round fliers with upside for Apollo.

Player Analysis

    • Drew Brees, QB
    • Round 1, Pick 5
    A High-Volume Passer

Brees led the NFL in attempts, completions, and passing yardage last season. Among all QBs, only Brady and Rodgers appeared on more championship rosters than the future Hall-of-Famer in 2016.

    • Carson Wentz, QB
    • Round 2, Pick 13
    Caught Reaching

Apollo will probably regret their second-round choice. Carson Wentz, taken with the 13th overall pick, has an ADP of only 130.2 across all Yahoo! leagues.

    • O. Beckham Jr., WR
    • Round 3, Pick 21
    Stolen In Broad Daylight

Odell Beckham Jr. was the best value pick of the round and could be the cause of many sleepless nights for the other managers.

    • Mike Evans, WR
    • Round 4, Pick 29
    Monster Mike

Second only to Jordy Nelson in receiving TDs last season, Evans appeared on more first-place fantasy rosters than any other wide receiver.

    • Dez Bryant, WR
    • Round 5, Pick 37
Possession is Nine-Tenths of the Law

Dez Bryant is expected to be a strong possession receiver this year, and his 94 projected catches rank fifth in the league.

Best Available

Apollo has one weak area, QB, that they may want to improve.

    • Andy Dalton
    • Rank 103, ADP 119
    • Matthew Stafford
    • Rank 104, ADP 115
    • Eli Manning
    • Rank 115, ADP 125
    • Carson Palmer
    • Rank 123, ADP 132

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
