Even though The Dominators didn't have a high draft pick (sixth overall), it didn't matter, as they built a legit squad capable of taking it to any opponent that gets in their way. As far as projections go, they will probably finish first in The SandBox Beagles League with a record of 12-2-0 (4,874 points). They drafted five decent RBs for their roster. This group is projected to average 390 points this season, which is close the league average of 383. They ended up with the best RB pair in the league, as they added David Johnson and Mark Ingram.

While Week 8 has the most players on bye for The Dominators (four), Week 9 is actually projected to have the team's highest number of idle fantasy points. Looking at the season as a whole, they have a weaker-than-average schedule. Despite having the fifth-easiest overall schedule, The Dominators actually has the toughest first four games of the season.

Draft Notes

  • QB Controversy?

The Dominators may have to rely on a Ouija board each week. Their top-drafted QB (Matt Ryan) and second-drafted QB (Andy Dalton) have fairly similar seasonal point projections.

  • Risk Averse

The Dominators minimized risk by choosing eight consistent players among their 20 picks.

  • Single-Bar Facemasks

The Dominators knows this is American football, right? They elected to go with two kickers, instead of stockpiling depth at other positions.

  • Defense Wins Championships?

The Dominators chose to go with two DEFs instead of loading up at other spots.

  • Biggest Steal

The Dominators may have found a gem in the ninth round, grabbing Ryan Mathews (86th overall pick vs. ADP of 71.6).

  • Did Stretch Armstrong Make That Pick?

Grabbing D'Qwell Jackson at pick 95 was definitely a reach. Jackson is owned on just a handful of teams across all Yahoo! leagues.

Player Analysis

    • David Johnson, RB
    • Round 1, Pick 6
He's a Touchy, Feely Kind of Guy

With 314 touches, David Johnson is projected to rank third in the NFL in that category. How touching, The Dominators.

    • Jordy Nelson, WR
    • Round 2, Pick 15
    The Alchemist

The Dominators chose a WR who's highly likely to turn a deep ball into TD gold. Jordy Nelson is projected to rank fifth among NFL WRs in plays over 40 yards with 5.4 and TDs over 40 yards with 2.1.

    • Mark Ingram, RB
    • Round 3, Pick 26
Feel the Rhythm, Feel the Rhyme

Get on up, it's Mark Ingram time! He should run cool this season with 481 projected points.

    • Alshon Jeffery, WR
    • Round 4, Pick 35
428 Reasons for The Dominators to Appreciate Alshon Jeffery

Jeffery ranks seventh in the The SandBox Beagles League among WRs with 428 projected fantasy points.

    • Matt Ryan, QB
    • Round 6, Pick 55
    Here's the Kicker

You could see decent numbers from the Falcons' kicking game. Even though Matt Ryan is expected to be a top-5 producer in passing yards (fourth with 4,579), he's projected to end up just 23rd in the NFL with 22.1 TD passes.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
