Watch out for Top Flight Security. Taking advantage of a solid draft spot (fourth overall), they built a team poised to do some damage in Stampede Blue League 3 League. Top Flight Security is expected to finish first with a record of 10-3-0 (2,102 points). They clearly wanted to put together a wide receiver corps early, using three of their first five selections on Julio Jones (first round), Amari Cooper (third round), and Randall Cobb (fourth round). This group will have to produce in order for Top Flight Security to have a good season, as they are the highest-scoring group of WRs in the league.

Whether by good fortune or well-planned strategy, Top Flight Security has secured a favorable bye week schedule for their superstars. Of their top five players in projected points, none share a common off week. Looking at the entire season, they have a weaker-than-average slate. Along with the sixth-easiest overall schedule, both the first four games and last four games of the season are pretty average for Top Flight Security.

Draft Notes

  • Separating the Wheat from the Chaff

Top Flight Security drafted top-3 players at a trio of different positions (Julio Jones, Carolina, and Chris Boswell).

  • Team of Winners

Top Flight Security is rocking a team of fantasy MVPs. Last season, three of their players were among the top-20 players that were on the most first-place fantasy teams (Julio Jones, Mark Ingram, and Carson Palmer).

  • Bargain Shopper

With three steals in the first 10 rounds (Carolina, Zach Ertz, and Carson Palmer), Top Flight Security made some shrewd moves.

  • Mr. Mendoza

James Starks is owned in only 2% of all Yahoo! leagues. Let's hope that a.) Top Flight Security has some solid inside information, or b.) he's a close friend of the family.

Player Analysis

    • Julio Jones, WR
    • Round 1, Pick 4
    Just Heave it to Julio

The lone NFL player to see 200 targets last season, only DeAndre Hopkins appeared on more first-place rosters than Jones in 2015.

    • Mark Ingram, RB
    • Round 2, Pick 21
He's a Touchy, Feely Kind of Guy

With 282 touches, Mark Ingram is projected to rank 10th in the NFL in that category. How touching, Top Flight Security.

    • L. Murray, RB
    • Round 5, Pick 52
    Stolen In Broad Daylight

Latavius Murray was the best value pick of the round and could be the cause of many sleepless nights for the other managers.

    • Carson Palmer, QB
    • Round 6, Pick 69
Was Carson Palmer the Best Choice at Pick No. 69?

Top Flight Security apparently thinks so. The Cardinals' signal-caller is projected to notch 383 points this year, after producing 426 last year.

    • Matt Jones, RB
    • Round 7, Pick 76
Was Matt Jones the Best Choice at Pick No. 76?

Top Flight Security apparently thinks so. The Redskins' RB is projected to put up 175 points this year, after only netting 114 last season.

Best Available

QB and TE are expected to be the worst positions for Top Flight Security and a potential area of need.

    • Alex Smith
    • Rank 153, ADP 117
    • Brock Osweiler
    • Rank 163, ADP 123
    • Vance McDonald
    • Rank 148, ADP 138
    • Clive Walford
    • Rank 160, ADP 130

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
