Watch out for Rasia. Taking advantage of a solid draft spot (fifth overall), they built a team poised to do some damage in NFC CHAMPIONS League. Rasia is expected to finish first with a record of 12-1-0 (2,101 points). RB depth won't be the issue this season as Rasia loaded up, drafting Todd Gurley (5th overall), Le'Veon Bell (16th), and Devonta Freeman (25th) with their first three selections. These players will be heavily relied upon by Rasia, as they are the most prolific group of RBs in the league.

Rasia should use Week 8 to consider life's great mysteries, like why Greenland is ice and Iceland is green. It would be better than checking fantasy football that week. They have seven players and the most projected fantasy points on bye that week. Based on their opponents' projected points, they have a softer-than-average schedule. Along with the fourth-easiest overall schedule, both the first four games and last four games of the season are pretty average for Rasia.

Draft Notes

  • Losing Focus

Rasia must have had to leave their draft party early. After tallying the most projected points in the league over the draft's first half, they managed the fewest during the second half.

  • You Almost Got It Right

The top half of the Rasia roster is one of the strongest in the league (projected to be No. 1). The bottom of the roster, unfortunately, is rated as the league's weakest.

  • Team of Champions

Rasia assembled a team of fantasy MVPs. Last season, five of their players were among the top-20 players that were on the most championship rosters across all Yahoo! leagues, including Todd Gurley, Devonta Freeman, and Tom Brady.

  • Checked Out Early

Rasia didn't exactly wrap up the draft on a high note, ending up with the fewest projected points in the league over the second half of the draft.

  • Defense Wins Championships?

Rasia chose to go with two DEFs instead of loading up at other spots.

  • Beginning with a Bang

Rasia got off to a sizzling start, amassing the most projected points in the league during the first half of the draft.

Player Analysis

    • Todd Gurley, RB
    • Round 1, Pick 5
    No RB by Committee Here

Look up "workhorse back" in the dictionary and there is a picture of Todd Gurley. Rasia should be in good shape if he reaches his league-leading 343 projected touches this year.

    • Le'Veon Bell, RB
    • Round 2, Pick 16
    Returning to Excellence

He played in only six games, but Bell joined Adrian Peterson as the only NFL running backs to rush for 90+ yards per game last season.

    • D. Freeman, RB
    • Round 3, Pick 25
    Haters Gonna Hate

The rest of NFC CHAMPIONS League overlooked a gem, and Rasia made the swaggiest pick of the round by grabbing Devonta Freeman.

    • Jarvis Landry, WR
    • Round 4, Pick 36
    Late Bloom for Landry

Rasia may be sensing some WR1 potential in Landry, who was one of three players (along with Julio Jones and Antonio Brown) to see double-digit targets in each of the final four weeks of 2015.

    • Tom Brady, QB
    • Round 6, Pick 56
    That Just Happened

Why can't I find Tom Brady on my draft cheat sheet? Oh wait, here he is under "mid-to-late-round value."

Best Available

With three below-average positions on Rasia, TE and WR are expected to be the worst of those potential areas of need.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
