Watch out for Superstars. Taking advantage of a solid draft spot (fifth overall), they built a team poised to do some damage in Run Run Pass Punt League. Superstars is expected to finish first with a record of 12-1-0 (2,249 points).

Superstars took advantage of all four of their keeper positions, stockpiling pass-catchers. They held on to three WRs among their keepers-- Antonio Brown (1.2 ADP), A.J. Green (11.6 ADP), and Allen Robinson (14.3 ADP). From an ADP perspective, their fourth-ranked keeper (Allen Robinson) is more valuable than a second-round draft choice. Overall, the four keepers on Superstars are projected to be clearly more productive (by 19.2%) than the draft picks they replaced.

While Week 9 has the most players on bye for Superstars (four), Week 8 is actually projected to have the team's highest number of idle fantasy points. Looking at the season as a whole, they have the least challenging slate. Along with having the easiest overall schedule, Superstars also has the second-softest last four games of the season.

Draft Notes

  • Highlight Reel

Superstars is loaded at WR, but DEF isn't too shabby, either.

  • Great Idea, Poor Execution

Superstars will need some help from the waiver wire in Week 5, as their only TE (Julius Thomas) and only DEF (Kansas City) will both be idle that week.

  • Nearly There

The top half of the Superstars roster is one of the strongest in the league (ranked No. 1). However, the bottom of the roster is among the weakest (ranked No. 8).

  • Team of Champions

Superstars is rocking a team of fantasy MVPs. Last season, four of their players were among the top-20 players that were on the most first-place fantasy rosters, including Antonio Brown, Todd Gurley, and Allen Robinson.

  • No Back-Up No Cry

Ignoring roster depth, Superstars chose only one player at three different positions (TE, DEF, and K).

  • Bargain Shopper

With four steals in the first 10 rounds (including Allen Robinson, A.J. Green, and Todd Gurley), Superstars made some shrewd moves.

Player Analysis

    • Antonio Brown, WR
    • Round 1, Pick 5
    Ambitious Antonio

Superstars fully endorses the wideout's quest for 150 receptions in 2016. Shoot for the moon, Mr. Brown. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.

    • Todd Gurley, RB
    • Round 2, Pick 16
    Feed The Beast

Over here we have a rarity in the wild named Todd Gurley. Projected to get a league-leading 345 touches, he feasts on feeble defenses.

    • A.J. Green, WR
    • Round 3, Pick 25
    The Power of Persuasion

Now would be a reasonable time for Superstars to encourage the Run Run Pass Punt League to increase the value of receptions. They grabbed A.J. Green and his 90 projected catches (ranked ninth in the NFL).

    • Allen Robinson, WR
    • Round 4, Pick 36
    Biggest Steal

Superstars may have found a gem in the fourth round, grabbing Allen Robinson (36th overall pick vs. ADP of 14.3).

    • B. Roethlisberger, QB
    • Round 6, Pick 56
    A Super Duper Signal-Caller

Ben Roethlisberger is projected to rack up 433 points this year, enough to rank third among all QBs.

Best Available

With four subpar positions on Superstars, TE and RB are projected as especially weak units that should be upgraded first.

    • Jared Cook
    • Rank 125, ADP 132
    • Eric Ebron
    • Rank 132, ADP 135
    • Tevin Coleman
    • Rank 118, ADP 127
    • Spencer Ware
    • Rank 127, ADP 127

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
