Even Mel Kiper Jr. can't scowl at this draft performance. And he even has a scowl when he's smiling. Despite a late draft pick, Lambeau Leap assembled a team that is projected to finish second in Football Texas Style 11 League with a record of 9-5-0 (2,160 points). They went after guys who can tote the rock with their early picks, using three of their first five picks to scoop up RBs Le'Veon Bell (first round), DeMarco Murray (second round), and Alfred Morris (fourth round). They ended up with the bottom group of WRs in the league, as they have Vincent Jackson, Steve Smith Sr., Kendall Wright, and Percy Harvin for their rotation.

Lambeau Leap will need to tap into their depth Week 8, as their top two projected scorers (Drew Brees and Le'Veon Bell) will be off that weekend. Looking at the season as a whole, they have a more-challenging-than-average schedule. Along with the fifth-most grueling overall schedule, both the first four games and last four games of the season are about league-average difficulty for Lambeau Leap.

Draft Notes

  • Highlight Reel

Lambeau Leap is loaded at RB, but QB isn't too shabby, either.

  • Get Off My Lawn

With an average of 6.8 years of NFL experience, Lambeau Leap is the oldest and by default, least exciting team in the league.

  • Afraid to Step Outside Your Comfort Zone?

With eight "low-risk" players among their 16 picks, Lambeau Leap is looking for dependable help.

  • Team of Champions

Lambeau Leap is rocking a team of fantasy MVPs. Last season, three of their players were among the top-20 players that were on the most first-place fantasy teams (Le'Veon Bell, DeMarco Murray, and Cody Parkey).

  • Defense Wins Championships?

Lambeau Leap chose to go with two DEFs instead of loading up at other spots.

  • The Bargain Whisperer

Lambeau Leap was hunting for steals throughout the draft, snapping up a trio of bargains in the first 10 rounds (St. Louis, Jordan Cameron, and DeMarco Murray).

Player Analysis

    • Le'Veon Bell, RB
    • Round 1, Pick 5
He's a Touchy, Feely Kind of Guy

With 313 touches, Le'Veon Bell is projected to rank fifth in the NFL in that category. How touching, Lambeau Leap.

    • DeMarco Murray, RB
    • Round 2, Pick 24
    Old Fashioned

Lambeau Leap stuck to the tried-and-true fantasy strategy of going RB-RB to start the draft, taking Le'Veon Bell and DeMarco Murray before targeting other positions.

    • Drew Brees, QB
    • Round 3, Pick 33
Take One Play Off and He Burns You

Lambeau Leap drafted the most explosive QB in the league in Drew Brees. He's projected to lead NFL QBs in plays over 40 yards with 13.3 and TDs over 40 yards with 5.1.

    • S. Sr., WR
    • Round 6, Pick 80
Was Steve Smith Sr. the Best Choice at a Pick at No. 80?

Lambeau Leap apparently thinks so. The Ravens' wideout is projected to notch 189 points this year, after producing 225 last year.

    • Jordan Cameron, TE
    • Round 7, Pick 89
Was Jordan Cameron Worth Pick No. 89?

Lambeau Leap apparently thinks so. The Dolphins' TE is projected to put up 147 points this year, after only netting 82 last season.

Best Available

With four subpar positions on Lambeau Leap, WR and TE are expected to be the worst of those potential areas of need.

    • Rank 196, ADP 120

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
