Coach Pete Carroll said Percy Harvin (hip) remains day to day. Advice: Harvin is dealing with continued soreness in his surgically repaired hip. It's uncertain if he'll even be able to practice on Wednesday. Harvin won't be a fantasy option against the Giants in Week 15. More: ESPN.com
Seahawks declared WR Percy Harvin, RB Christine Michael, CB Brandon Browner, OT Michael Bowie, OT Caylin Hauptmann, DE Benson Mayowa, and DT Jordan Hill inactive for Week 14 against the 49ers. Advice: Harvin is officially week to week. It's possible he won't see the field again before the playoffs. Michael remains a strong "hold" in Dynasty leagues, but is a healthy scratch because he doesn't play special teams.
Percy Harvin (hip) has been ruled out for Week 14. Advice: Harvin can only be considered "week to week" at this stage. Doug Baldwin will continue to start and dominate slot receiver snaps in three-wide packages.
Percy Harvin (hip) remained out of Seahawks practice Thursday. Advice: Barring a surprise Friday return, Harvin can be safely ruled out for Week 14. The question is whether he'll return before the postseason. If you're hurting for a roster spot, Harvin is a drop that's unlikely to come back to haunt you. More: Seahawks on Twitter
Wes Welker (concussion) did not participate in Tuesday's practice. Advice: All signs point toward Welker sitting out against the Chargers on Thursday. He'll likely be officially ruled out on Wednesday. More: Lindsay Jones on Twitter
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on NFL Insiders that Wes Welker (concussion) is "very unlikely" to play Thursday night against the Chargers. Advice: This is Welker's second concussion of the season, and the Broncos are now playing on a short week. "They're not ruling Welker out, but it's very unlikely he'll play," said Mort. Look for Jacob Tamme to stand in as Denver's primary slot receiver, although he won't be a great fantasy option unless you're desperate. Look for more work for Julius Thomas between the numbers, and Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker to dominate San Diego's weak corners outside.
Wes Welker (concussion) will undergo baseline testing Monday. Advice: Welker has to be considered extremely doubtful for Thursday's game against the Chargers. Players almost always struggle to get through the concussion protocols on short weeks, but Welker's case is complicated because he's now sustained two concussions in the last month. Owners need to be making other plans while noting that Jacob Tamme filled in as the slot man against the Titans after Welker left. More: ESPN.com
Jerricho Cotchery is on the injury report with a shoulder contusion this week. Advice: A contusion is just a bruise, so Cotchery should be fine for Sunday's game against the Bengals. However, the Steelers could use this as an excuse to get rookie Markus Wheaton more playing time as they look toward 2014. Cotchery has been excellent this season, but he's 31 years old and in the final year of his contract. More: Ken Laird on Twitter
Jerricho Cotchery caught five passes for 62 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's Week 14 loss to the Dolphins. Advice: On his touchdown, Cotchery moved in motion into the slot and just ran up the seam. Ben Roethlisberger threaded a perfect pass to his red-zone maven between three Dolphin defenders. Cotchery has just 19 catches in the last six games, but seven of them have gone for touchdowns. We wouldn't chase an unsustainable rate like that heading into a Week 15 game against the Bengals.
