  • Carey leads Bears with 48 yards in Week 7
Ka'Deem Carey managed 48 yards on 10 carries and caught his only target for nine yards Thursday in the Bears' Week 7 loss to the Packers.

Advice: He out-touched Jordan Howard 11-7 and outgained him by 35 yards (57-22). His longest run came on a 24-yard burst midway through the second quarter. Carey’s standalone value is still limited but his increased presence has been a big drain on Howard’s production over the last two weeks. Carey gets a tough matchup against Minnesota in Week 8. • Jordy disappoints with one catch in Week 7
Jordy Nelson collected one catch for nine yards on four targets Thursday in the Packers' Week 7 win over the Bears.

Advice: In a game where the Packers were forced to throw 56 times, Nelson somehow managed just one catch. Go figure. Nelson is tied for the league lead in touchdowns but his volume appears to be shrinking. He’s seen just 11 targets over his last two games compared to 20 in his previous two. Nelson has a good chance to bounce back against Atlanta’s Swiss cheese secondary in Week 8. Yesterday, 9:47 pm

  • Howard lays an egg on Thursday Night Football
Jordan Howard tallied just seven carries for 22 yards and failed to catch his only target Thursday in the Bears' Week 7 loss to the Packers.

Advice: Howard saw just one carry in the second half and was out-touched 11-7 by Ka’Deem Carey. It looked like Howard had the starting job sewed up a few weeks ago but now that appears to be in question. Carey has proven to be more than a change-of-pace back and is now a real threat to Howard’s workload. Things won’t get any easier for Howard next week against the undefeated Vikings. • Cam Meredith (one catch) tanks in Week 7
Cameron Meredith reeled in just one-of-two targets for 12 yards Thursday in the Bears' Week 7 loss to the Packers.

Advice: After seeing a combined 27 targets over his previous two games, Meredith only saw two balls come his way in Week 7. He was completely shut out in the first half as the Bears converted just 6-of-14 passing attempts for 66 yards before halftime. Meredith was a favorite of Brian Hoyer’s but will now have to build chemistry with Matt Barkley. Perhaps he’ll bounce back against the Vikings in Week 8, but we’re not counting on it. • Zach Miller held to 40 yards in Week 7
Zach Miller snagged two-of-five targets for 40 yards Thursday in the Bears' Week 7 loss to the Packers.

Advice: Miller caught all of two passes but still managed to lead the team in receiving yards. All of his targets came in the fourth quarter. Miller has averaged just 49.7 yards per game over his last three outings and hasn't scored a touchdown during that span. He’ll be a back-end TE1 against the Vikings in Week 8. Yesterday, 9:17 pm
