    • Connecting with new QB
Kmet (forearm) is building chemistry with new rookie quarterback Caleb Williams at OTAs, Alyssa Barbieri of USA Today reports.

Advice: Kmet suffered a broken right forearm during Chicago's season-ending loss to the Packers in Week 18, but he looks fully healthy at OTAs. The starting tight end could have some extra opportunities to establish a rapport with Williams, given that Rome Odunze is managing a hamstring issue, while Keenan Allen has stayed away from the voluntary activities. Still, the likeliest scenario in this passing game could be that Kmet takes a back seat to all of DJ Moore, Allen and Odunze, and even with his pedigree as the No. 1 overall pick, it seems a long shot that Williams can support four solid fantasy options as a rookie. Kmet will be a sleeper option at the tight end position in 2024 fantasy drafts. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:00 pm

    • Texans hope Mixon and Pierce can be ‘1-2 punch’
Texans HC DeMeco Ryans said he thinks of Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce “as a one-two punch.”

Advice: Pierce continues to gain offseason steam in the coach-speak department despite the Texans trading for Joe Mixon and signing him to a three-year, $27 million contract extension. Ryans praised Pierce for his work this offseason, saying he “changed his body” and “has everything it takes to be a really good running back” for the Texans. Pierce struggled mightily in his second season as a pro, rushing for 145-416-2 while averaging a dismal 2.9 YPC. He eventually lost the starting role to Devin Singletary, seeing just 40 touches over the final seven regular season games. Mixon will be 28 at the start of the season. While he’s expected to handle the majority of backfield touches, he’s on the wrong side of the running back age cliff and could be spelled frequently for Pierce in hopes of keeping both backs fresh. Pierce doesn’t have much fantasy upside as long as Mixon is healthy and playing well, but he’s worth rostering as a backfield backup if Mixon were to miss time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:16 am

    • Photographer drops charges against Rashee Rice
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the charges against Rashee Rice stemming from an alleged assault at a Dallas nightclub have been dropped.

Advice: Per Pelissero, the photographer whom Rice allegedly struck at the nightclub has since told police that the incident was a misunderstanding. Rice is still facing multiple charges and a possible suspension for his involvement in a street race and car crash in April. Until the legal process plays out, it’s impossible to say how much time Rice will miss because of his actions. He is currently present for Chiefs OTAs this week. Rotoworld Tuesday, 12:01 pm

    • Eagles WR DeVante Parker retires
Eagles WR DeVante Parker announced his retirement from the NFL.

Advice: The nine-year veteran wide receiver signed a one-year contract with the Eagles in March but ultimately retired before playing a snap with the franchise. Parker spent the first seven years of his NFL career with the Dolphins before playing the previous two seasons with the Patriots. He cited a desire to spend more time with his family as the primary reason for his decision. Parker ends his career with 402 receptions, 5,660 yards, and 27 touchdowns. Rotoworld Monday, 5:11 pm

    • Announces retirement
Parker announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Advice: Two months after signing a one-year contract with the Eagles, Parker has had a change of heart on a 10th season in the league. The 31-year-old cited spending more time with his family as the primary factor in his decision. He spent his first seven seasons in Miami before playing the previous two in New England. The Louisville product's most productive season came in 2019, as he tallied 1,202 yards and nine touchdowns on 72 receptions for the Dophins. He was projected to compete for a role behind A.J. Brown (knee) and DeVonta Smith at wide receiver in the upcoming season. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:08 pm

    • Stafford on the field for OTAs Monday
Rams QB Matthew Stafford was present for the opening day of OTAs Monday.

Advice: Stafford’s presence for the opening day of OTAs is notable considering the veteran quarterback had expressed intent to seek more guaranteed money in his contract this offseason, placing doubt in his status for organized team activities leading up to camp in the process. It also speaks to his level of health heading into the 2024 season after Stafford battled multiple injuries the previous two years. Either way, consider it a slight boost to Stafford’s fantasy value for the coming year. Rotoworld Monday, 3:41 pm

    • Schefter: Rashee Rice to report to Chiefs OTAs
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Rashee Rice will be present at Chiefs OTAs this week.

Advice: According to Schefter, Rice will be present and participate in all activities. The second-year receiver has had a tumultuous offseason since winning the Super Bowl with the Chiefs back in February. In addition to being involved in a hit-and-run and charged with two felonies, Rice is also under investigation for assaulting a photographer at a nightclub earlier this month. Rice posted a receiving line of 79-938-7 during his rookie campaign and averaged 72.1 yards per game over his final eight regular season contests. What should have been an exciting 2024 for Rice has gotten off on the wrong foot, as he’s likely facing some sort of suspension from the league once his legal issues are fully sorted out. Assuming he misses some time, an early selection of Rice in fantasy could make for a risky selection this season. Rotoworld Monday, 9:36 am
