    • Brandon Aiyuk holding out of minicamp
49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk is not present at the start of mandatory minicamp.

Advice: With top receivers getting paid this offseason, Aiyuk is now holding out to get his own top-of-the-market contract. It was previously reported that he was looking for a contract extension similar to the one Amon-Ra St. Brown received. Aiyuk is set to earn just over $14 million on his fifth-year option, but he is looking for long-term security. With Justin Jefferson just getting paid after Devonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle, and others signed new contracts this offseason, Aiyuk could see a deal in the ballpark of the $28-$30 million per year that Waddle and St. Brown received. As NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport notes, the next potential holdout for Aiyuk will be training camp. Rotoworld Today, 4:46 pm

    • Placed on injured reserve
Thompkins (hamstring) reverted to IR on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Advice: Thompkins will now likely miss the 2024 campaign with his shift to injured reserve. However, if he can reach an injury settlement with the Buccaneers, he'd be free to find an opportunity elsewhere once he can prove himself healthy. Rotowire.com Today, 2:51 pm

    • Gets cut loose
Jackson was waived by the Falcons on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Advice: Jackson linked up with the Falcons earlier in the spring as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers. He'll now have to find a new opportunity if he plans to suit up for an NFL team in 2024. Rotowire.com Today, 2:36 pm

    • Gets look at new position
Harry has gotten work at tight end during OTAs, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Harry has struggled to find his footing in the NFL since being selected in the first round of the 2019 Draft by the Patriots. Standing 6-4 and 225 pounds, the 26-year-old arguably has the size of the position, and the shift could help him find the potential he was drafted for in the league. Rotowire.com Today, 1:50 pm

    • N’Keal Harry taking tight end reps during OTAs
ESPN’s Kevin Seifert reports that WR N’Keal Harry has been working with the tight ends during Vikings’ practices.

Advice: Whiles he’s still listed as a receiver, Harry (listed at 6-4, 225 pounds) has been trying his hand at tight end. With his best season being a 33-309-2 campaign in 2020 for the Patriots, it doesn’t seem like a bad idea. The Vikings will be looking for production at the tight end position with T.J. Hockenson on the self for a while. Josh Oliver and Robert Tonyan lead the way for now, but Harry could have an athletic advantage over both. It’s not worth going crazy over yet, but for now it’s an interesting development. Rotoworld Today, 1:46 pm

    • Dealing with heel injury
Sanders sat out minicamp practice Tuesday with a heel injury, Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Obeserver reports.

Advice: Coach Dave Canales said Sanders had something "flare up" with his heel, and he's missing practice time this week. Overall, it doesn't sound like a serious issue for Sanders, but he's missing valuable reps with his new coaching staff. The Panthers drafted Jonathon Brooks in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft to join Chuba Hubbard in the backfield, so Sanders looks like he's going to head into training camp no higher than third on the running back depth chart. His inability to play special teams would make him a tough player to have active on game days if that's the case. Rotowire.com Today, 1:03 pm

    • Progressing as planned
Latu (knee) has suffered no setbacks in his recovery and is expected to be ready for training camp, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Latu suffered a meniscus injury during a preseason game last year and missed the entirety of his rookie campaign. A third-round selection in the 2023 Draft, Latu will likely be competing with veteran Eric Saubert for the 49ers No. 3 spot on the team's depth chart at tight end behind George Kittle (groin) and the newly acquired, Logan Thomas. • Gets let go
Havrisik was waived by the Browns on Tuesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Advice: Havrisik had just joined Cleveland on May 20, but with fellow kickers Dustin Hopkins and Cade York under contract as well, the Arizona product was seemingly expendable. He'll now have to seek out a new opportunity Rotowire.com Today, 12:56 pm

    • Callahan on Burks: I think he’s an asset on special teams
Broadway Sports Media’s Easton Freeze reports the Titans plan to use Treylon Burks on special teams.

Advice: Coach Callahan made it a point that Burks will have to find his spots on the field by way of special teams. “If he’s one of those guys on game day, we’re going to have to find a place for him” said Callahan. Burks does have experience as a kick and punt returner during his college days, but Callahan spoke specifically about the gunner role on the punt team (for Burks). With Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins and Tyler Boyd as the Titans’ top three wideouts, Burks has work to do before he gets back in the receiving rotation. Rotoworld Today, 12:35 pm
