  • Josh Gordon played on 69% of the snaps
Josh Gordon played on 54-of-78 snaps (69.2 percent) in Sunday's win at Atlanta.

Advice: A pregame report from ESPN that Gordon would be limited to 20-30 snaps was simply wrong. He proved to the coaches during the week that he was in football shape despite a three-month layoff. "I told (coach Mike Pettine) I'd been working out nonstop every day, day in and day out. I think that just goes to show I wasn't just sitting around on my ass doing nothing," Gordon said. We'd expect him to get closer to 80-90 percent of the snaps in a Week 13 game at Buffalo. Joseph Randle was held without a carry in Week 12.

Advice: Randle wasn't targeted in the pass game, and didn't get any touches behind DeMarco Murray. Lance Dunbar played more snaps this week and had a 26-yard catch in the second quarter. Randle remains just a handcuff for Murray owners. Rotoworld.com

Larry Donnell caught two passes for 24 yards in Sunday night's Week 12 loss to the Cowboys.

Advice: He was targeted just four times. Donnell lost a goal-line touchdown to backup TE Adrien Robinson in the fourth quarter. It's a disappointing game against a Cowboys defense that's struggled to cover tight ends. Donnell will remain a low-end TE1 against Jacksonville in Week 13. Rotoworld.com

Dez Bryant caught seven passes for 86 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday night's Week 12 win over the Giants.

Advice: The Giants held Bryant in check in the first half, shadowing him with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie for most of the game. He was left wide open on a 31-yard catch and run for his first score, and caught the game-winning touchdown with just over a minute in the fourth quarter. Rashad Jennings rushed 19 times for 52 yards and caught eight passes for 68 yards in Sunday night's Week 12 loss to the Cowboys.

Advice: Jennings started, but lost carries to Andre Williams. He did most of his damage in the fourth quarter, including a 27-yard catch on a swing pass that set up the Giants' go-ahead touchdown. Jennings had a touchdown vultured by Williams and failed to convert on two goal-line chances. He was targeted 10 times and remains heavily involved in the pass game. Advice: Williams had an expanded role this week, and vultured a touchdown from Rashad Jennings in the second quarter. He was the more effective back between the tackles, and could continue to see a bigger committee role. The Giants gave Williams goal-line work, but didn't use him in high-leverage situations. Advice: He added two catches for 22 yards. It's a disappointing game for Murray's standard, as the Giants came into Sunday night as the worst-ranked run defense. Murray didn't make any impact runs, but consistently picked up yardage against stacked eight-man fronts. Murray hasn't shown any signs of wearing down coming off the Cowboys' bye. Odell Beckham had 10 catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday night's Week 12 loss to Dallas.

Advice: Beckham made a highlight one-handed 43-yard touchdown over Cowboys CB Brandon Carr in the second quarter. He easily won one-on-one matchups, and was able to get open against double teams. Beckham was targeted a team-high 11 times, but briefly exited in the fourth quarter with a back injury. He's now posted 90-plus yards in four straight weeks and is averaging at least seven catches since entering the starting lineup. Advice: Manning played one of his better games coming off his five-interception performance against the 49ers. He had two first-half touchdowns to Odell Beckham, and later hit a wide-open Adrien Robinson at the goal-line. Manning's pick was a bad overthrew to Preston Parker in the red-zone that allowed Dallas back in the game. He now has a 5:7 TD/INT ratio over his last three starts. Advice: The Cowboys offense struggled to get going early, with Romo throwing three of his four touchdowns in the second half. He targeted Dez Bryant a team-high nine times, connecting with him on two of his scores. Romo looked fully healthy coming of the Cowboys' bye. Advice: Mathews ran all over the Rams in the first half and ended an early third-quarter possession with a 32-yard touchdown scamper. But two Rams landed on top of him at the end of the run, and Mathews ended up missing about 20 minutes of game time with a shoulder injury before returning late in the fourth. Alfred Morris rushed 21 times for 125 yards and a touchdown in the Redskins' Week 12 loss to San Francisco, adding a five-yard reception.

Advice: This is the type of line fantasy owners expected from Morris last week against Tampa Bay. The Redskins played run-dominated offense on Sunday, attempting to limit Robert Griffin III's impact on the game. Morris was the beneficiary, consistently gashing San Francisco's normally stout defense on zone runs. Ultimately, "Alf" was one of the few Skins offensive players who showed up. Doug Baldwin caught two passes for six yards in Sunday's Week 12 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Baldwin was eerily quiet, not catching his first pass until getting a play ran for him on a 3rd-and-1 midway through the third quarter. It's a reminder that no one gets featured in this spread-the-wealth pass game, and that Patrick Peterson/Antonio Cromartie are not to be messed with. After knocking off the rust in his Week 11 return from a sprained MCL, Mathews was looking good with 110 total yards. Branden Oliver and Donald Brown are handling backfield duties with Mathews out. Louis Murphy caught 6-of-8 targets for 113 yards Week 12 against the Bears.

Advice: Murphy got loose for a 54-yard gain late in the first half and had a 22-yard gain in the third quarter. Julian Edelman secured 11-of-15 targets for 89 yards in the Patriots' Week 12 win over the Lions.

Advice: He also had a second-half punt return TD negated by penalty. Edelman dropped a first-quarter touchdown pass, but was otherwise a key ingredient as the Patriots attacked the Lions with a spread offense, getting the ball out of Tom Brady's hands quickly. Edelman will remain a borderline WR2 in PPR leagues against the Packers next week. He's a low-upside WR3 in non-PPR formats. Rotoworld.com

  • Isaiah Crowell eats for two TDs vs. Falcons
Isaiah Crowell rushed 12 times for 88 yards and two touchdowns in Cleveland's Week 12 win over the Falcons.

Advice: He wasn't targeted in the passing game. As expected, Crowell started over Terrance West, but was actually out-touched by West 15-12. Crowell out-gained him 88-71, however, and looked like a man deserving of his No. 1 status. Crowell was electrifying on both his TDs, planting his foot for a one-cut, 11-yard run on his first score. For the second, he completely reversed fields two separate times, eluding tackles and displaying a low-center of gravity en route to a 26-yard TD. His raw talent was plain as day. Crowell and West will continue to split the rock for a run-heavy team, but Crowell is the clear No. 1 option, and a weekly upside RB2 for fantasy players. Rotoworld.com

  • T-Rich gets the goal-line TD in Week 12 win
Trent Richardson rushed 13 times for 42 yards and one touchdown in the Colts' Week 12 win over the Jaguars.

Advice: Boom Herron ended up getting the start over Richardson, out-touching him 17-13 and out-gaining him 96-42. However, Richardson was the one who got the goal-line carry in the third quarter for the one-yard touchdown, while Herron fumbled in the red zone earlier in the first half. Still, the Colts didn't go away from Herron, who showed impressive burst, hitting holes with authority -- unlike T-Rich -- and getting upfield. • Boom Herron out-gains T-Rich 96-42 in victory
Boom Herron rushed 12 times for 65 yards in the Colts' Week 12 win over the Jaguars, adding five catches for 31 yards.

Advice: Herron surprisingly drew the start over Trent Richardson in the Colts' first game without Ahmad Bradshaw (leg, I.R.), and ended up out-touching his backfield mate 17-13 and out-gaining him 96-42. Herron was clearly, and unsurprisingly, the far better player, showing considerably more burst and bounce to his step. The two backs alternated series evenly throughout the first half before Herron saw more action in the second half. Even after Herron lost a fumble in the red zone, the Colts didn't shy away from him. We'd prefer Herron to T-Rich at this point. He'll be on the RB2 map next week at home against the Redskins. Rotoworld.com

  • Browns' Gordon notches 8/120 in 2014 debut
Making his 2014 debut, Josh Gordon caught 8-of-16 targets for 120 yards in Cleveland's Week 12 win over the Falcons.

Advice: Despite much pre-game speculation to the contrary, Gordon wasn't on any sort of a pitch count, playing essentially every down. He was targeted on a whopping 40 percent of the Browns' pass plays. His 16 looks were twice as many as No. 2 Miles Austin's eight. It was music to fantasy owners' ears, but Brian Hoyer often appeared to be forcing the ball to his returning No. 1 weapon, making a number of disastrous decisions on plays where they perhaps weren't on the same page. Hoyer also flat missed Gordon on at least 3-4 occasions. Gordon could have had a much-bigger game. Either way, he's established without a doubt that he'll be an elite WR1 down the stretch as the Browns try to clinch their first playoff berth since 2002. Rotoworld.com

  • Hoyer, Browns outlast Falcons in ugly game
Brian Hoyer completed 23-of-40 passes for 322 yards, zero touchdowns and three interceptions in Cleveland's 26-24, Week 12 win over the Falcons.

Advice: Put simply, Hoyer was lucky to escape this one with a win. Hoyer niftily engineered the Browns' game-winning field goal drive, but may not have gotten the chance if not for disastrously-bad clock management from Atlanta's Mike Smith. With the game in fourth-quarter crunch time, Hoyer made two of the worst throws you'll ever see. His pick on 1st-and-goal with 4:59 remaining was arguably the worst decision by any quarterback in 2014. Rolling right on a busted play action, Hoyer back pedaled and threw a jump ball to Josh Gordon off his back foot. It was easily picked by Desmond Trufant. Hoyer made use of his returning star Gordon, but had multiple miscommunications with him, and at least 4-5 terrible targets. Hoyer won't be a recommended QB2 for next week's trip to Buffalo. After speaking with Browns coach Mike Pettine Sunday morning, FOX's Jay Glazer refutes a report that Josh Gordon will be limited to 20-30 snaps in Sunday's game at Atlanta.

Advice: Gordon showed up to work this week in far better shape than the Browns expected and "really improved" as practices went on. So although the original plan was 20-30 snaps, we could see last year's leading receiver on the field for way more than that. "We have the full gamut in store for him," Glazer relayed from Pettine. Advice: Herron was a preseson darling, rushing for 112 yards on 22 carries and catching 11 passes for 55 yards and one touchdown. He's a downhill, north-south runner. The Colts see the writing on the wall with Trent Richardson; he doesn't hit the hole hard and sometimes doesn't even see the gaping holes in the running game. The Browns proceeded to start Crowell and utilize him as a full-on feature back, while Terrance West was the change-of-pace runner and Tate was almost strictly used on third downs. Gordon can do damage on 20-30 snaps, though we might take the over on this. Browns-Falcons could be a shootout, but Cleveland could try and slow the pace by leaning on its run game. It's up to Richardson to make the most of it. Expect Richardson to flirt with 20 touches per game the final six weeks, giving him a high floor as an RB2 in one of the most explosive offenses in the league. Rotoworld.com

The Giants don't plan to use Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in shadow coverage on Dez Bryant.

Advice: DRC has been unable to play every defensive snap in recent weeks because of an IT band injury that is affecting his back, leg, and hamstring. Giants DC Perry Fewell mentions CB Chykie Brown, who was plucked off waivers from the Ravens, as a candidate to see extended snaps vs. Bryant on Sunday night. Arian Foster (groin) will be a game-time decision for Week 12.

Advice: It's the same thing coach Bill O'Brien said last week, though Foster didn't come close to suiting up against the Browns. Foster was downgraded to "DNP" on Thursday after being "limited" on Wednesday. He appears to have slightly better odds of suiting up for Week 12 than he did in Week 11, but his status still remains murky, at best. Foster will be a top-five RB1 if he goes, but owners can't be counting on it. Keep Alfred Blue on speed dial as a plug-and-play RB2. Rotoworld.com

  • Pettine: Gordon ahead of where we expected
Speaking Thursday, coach Mike Pettine said Josh Gordon is "maybe little ahead of where we expected."

Advice: Gordon practiced Wednesday for the first time since August and it went well, with Brian Hoyer targeting him tons. Gordon's "pitch count" will be raised on Thursday, meaning the Browns will give him more reps ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons. Pettine's pleasure with where Gordon is at physically and mentally right now bodes well for his chances of seeing something around 75-85 percent of the snaps in his 2014 debut. Although we wouldn't expect a massive game given the circumstances, he's a must-start in season-long formats. Rotoworld.com

  • Browns say Josh Gordon will be on pitch count
Coach Mike Pettine said Wednesday that Josh Gordon will be on a "pitch count" this week.

Advice: It's a bit unclear if Pettine was referring to practices or Sunday's game against the Falcons. What is clear is that he's trying to temper expectations. "There needs to be a progression. The trap to fall into is, 'Hey, he's back and let's just go ahead and throw him out there for a bunch of plays.' There's certainly danger inherent in doing that," said Pettine, who also talked to Ross Tucker about research the Browns have done on higher injury rates after long layoffs. We're not expecting Gordon to play 100 percent of the snaps Sunday after three months off, but even a limited Gordon is a must-play in season-long formats. He's a legit All-Pro talent for a playoff-contending team desperately in need of weaponry. Rotoworld.com

Coach Mike Pettine continues to try to downplay the impact Josh Gordon will have in Sunday's game against the Falcons.

Advice: Pettine mentioned to Ross Tucker about research the Browns have done on higher injury rates after long layoffs. Gordon has not been permitted to practice since training camp and is taking contact this week for the first time in 80 days. Of course, we're talking about an All-Pro talent on a team that is both desperate for offensive weaponry and clawing for a playoff berth. Browns coach Mike Pettine defended Isaiah Crowell's Week 11 lost fumble, crediting Texans ILB Brian Cushing with making a great play.

Advice: The Browns appear to be increasingly committed to Crowell, sticking with him after the loose ball, and cutting Ben Tate. "I don't see him as having a fumbling problem," Pettine said. "I think he was trying to switch (hands with) the ball and got caught. I thought Cushing made a heck of a play. He hit right on top of it." The Cleveland Plain Dealer foresees the Browns using a "two-back rotation" of Crowell and Terrance West going forward. Crowell is the strongest fantasy option, at least for now. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Whooo boy! Via Burleson, Gordon recently said, "I'm going to lose 10-15 pounds. When I come back, I'm going to tear this league up." Observers at Browns practice Wednesday said Gordon looked sharp running routes and in shape during the 15 or so minutes open to the media. The Browns have alluded to easing Gordon back into the picture, but Falcons coach Mike Smith isn't buying it. And neither are we. Cleveland is in the middle of a dogfight for a playoff spot. Giants owner John Mara recently gave Eli Manning a vote of confidence.

Advice: It's worth noting that Mara's comments came before Manning threw five picks in Sunday's loss to the 49ers. "We still think he's in his prime and still has a lot of good years left," Mara said optimistically. "It lifts the whole franchise when you have a quarterback who can play at that level." Fans and writers can often be far too quick to write off players, but Manning's TD:INT ratio is now 36:38 since the start of last season. He's posted a 6.9 YPA and 75.8 QB rating during the same timespan. Manning turns 34 in January, and 2015 is the final year of his contract. The bye week certainly came at a good time for his body to heal up a bit and the Week 12 matchup is ideal. • Burden of running game now on Richardson
The Indy Star says the "burden" of the running game is now going to fall on Trent Richardson.

Advice: It's a scary thought for the Colts in the wake of Ahmad Bradshaw's fracture. Richardson has been among the least effective backs in the NFL over the last two seasons, averaging 3.12 YPC with five rushing touchdowns in 23 games as a Colt. The difference between T-Rich and Bradshaw was night and day. Already getting 15.2 touches per game, it's now conceivable that Richardson will get up around 20 going forward -- especially in clock-killing situations like the one we'll likely see in Week 12 when the Colts host the Jags. He's a volume-based RB2 with limited upside. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Ahmad Bradshaw (foot/leg) is out indefinitely. Trent Richardson, already brutally ineffective in all facets of the game while getting 15.2 touches a day, is now the No. 1. Herron is not a special talent by any stretch, but the Colts are sure to grow as frustrated with Richardson as fantasy owners have over the past couple years. "I was just doing what I (could) when my number was called," Mathews said of handling the ball 17 times against the Raiders. "The coaching staff had a plan for me, and it worked." However, late in the game with the Giants in a two-minute offense, Andre Williams was on the field. It's a situation Jennings thrives in, leading us to suspect his knee was acting up a bit. When asked about his running back rotation following Sunday's loss to the Texans, coach Mike Pettine said, "We're not just going to pick one."

Advice: In Week 9, Isaiah Crowell got zero carries while Terrance West led the way with 15. Week 10 saw West pile up 26 carries compared to 12 for Crowell and 10 for Ben Tate. On Sunday, Crowell surprisingly got the nod for 14 totes, seven more than West and Tate combined. "It's something we'll look at week to week," Pettine said. "When you go in a game-plan situation you look at what gives us the best chance to win." More often than not, Crowell is going to be the Browns' best option. Advice: Edelman played on 10 of the first 12 snaps, but finished with 35-of-73. It's likely a result of the fall he took near the sideline during the first quarter, when he clearly got up slowly. But Mathews' performance between the twenties was the most positive takeaway we had from this game. He showed sharp cutting ability and kept the chains moving on the ground. Advice: He also lost six yards on three scrambles. Hoyer's accuracy has been an issue all season, and continued to be against the Texans, missing seemingly countless throws at the short and intermediate range. You read that right -- Hoyer had a whopping 50 pass attempts -- and the Browns won't want to play that way moving forward. Advice: Perhaps most promisingly, the Browns stuck with Crowell after he lost a second-quarter fumble; ball security has been an issue for the promising rookie in the past. Crowell finished with 16 touches compared to Terrance West's five and Ben Tate's two. Of course, Randle was targeted on two of Eli Manning's five interceptions and had repeated miscommunications with his quarterback once again. The sledding was really tough as the Giants offensive line got overwhelmed by Chris Borland and company, but Jennings looked to be running well. Advice: Bad Eli face was out in full effect, even against a depleted 49ers secondary. He once again had repeated miscommunications with Rueben Randle, looking like he was throwing the game on a couple of the picks. So after a five-game streak that saw Manning throw just one pick, we're back to square one heading into a Week 12 home game against the Cowboys. • Report: Browns to start Isaiah Crowell at RB
ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi reports "it appears" the Browns will start Isaiah Crowell at running back against the Texans.

Advice: It's something of a surprise move after the Browns benched Crowell for a faux-fumble in last week's win over Cincinnati. Perhaps the coaching staff watched the tape and felt bad about it, and this is the way they are compensating. We still fully expect a "hot-hand" approach in the Browns' backfield, but Crowell appears likely to get the first shot to establish it. He's a high-upside, but risky flex option. The same can be said for both Terrance West and Ben Tate. Advice: As expected, Alfred Blue will get the start at running back. The Texans are unusually banged up coming off their bye. Jackson is another big loss, as he would have covered Browns slot WR Andrew Hawkins in sub-packages. Rotoworld.com

  • Report: Texans, Titans interested in Hoyer
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Texans and Titans would have interest in Brian Hoyer if he reached the free agent market in 2015.

Advice: Hoyer is collecting just $1 million in the final year of a cheap contract he signed in May of 2013. Per Schefter, "Hoyer trusts (Texans coach Bill) O'Brien as much as any coach in the league" after their time together in New England, and Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt worked with Hoyer for a brief spell in Arizona. Hoyer would surely have suitors if he hit the open market, but it seems unlikely that the Browns would let him leave. Rotoworld.com

  • Rashad Jennings to see heavy workload?
ESPN Giants reporter Dan Graziano suspects Rashad Jennings will handle more than 20 touches in Sunday's game against the 49ers.

Advice: Coach Tom Coughlin has suggested that Jennings won't carry a full load Sunday. That's also what he said before Andre Brown came off injury last year and piled up 30 carries in his first game active. With Andre Williams' limited skill set and third-down option Peyton Hillis on IR, Jennings should be in for a big workload if his knee holds up. He was averaging 20.4 touches per game before going down. Rotoworld.com

  • Texans expect Foster back Week 12 vs. Bengals
Coach Bill O'Brien said he expects Arian Foster (groin) back in the lineup Week 12 against the Bengals.

Advice: Per O'Brien, Foster's groin issue is a "two-week" injury. So, Foster should be fine for the fantasy playoffs, which start Week 13 in most leagues. Alfred Blue will get the start Sunday against the Browns. He's a solid RB2 simply because of volume, but we recommend the Cleveland defense for streaming purposes. Rotoworld.com

  • Browns likely to let contract-year Hoyer walk?
ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi believes the Browns are more likely to let contract-year QB Brian Hoyer walk in free agency than re-sign him.

Advice: Ace beat writer Grossi is simply reading between the lines. But he points out that GM Ray Farmer has yet to give Hoyer a ringing endorsement as the Browns' quarterback, while Grossi gets the sense the team "brass" are very confident Johnny Manziel will be able to make every play Hoyer makes now, plus more, after sitting and learning for one season. If Hoyer "leads" the Browns to a division title and playoff berth, some team is going to shell out major cash for him. The Browns will have a tough decision, but money would give Farmer a reason to wave goodbye. Rotoworld.com

  • Arian Foster (groin) officially out Week 11
Texans officially ruled Arian Foster (groin) out for Week 11 against the Browns.

Advice: Coach Bill O'Brien called Foster a game-day decision following Friday's practice, but he was never expected to play. Rookie Alfred Blue will get the start and should see a heavy workload with Ryan Mallett making his first NFL start. Blue is a solid RB2 against a struggling Cleveland rush defense. Rotoworld.com

  • Ryan Mathews listed as probable
Ryan Mathews (knee) is listed as probable for Week 11.

Advice: He was a full participant in practice all week. We would be surprised if Mathews got fewer than 12 carries against the Raiders, and he could push for 20 if game flow allows. He's a solid RB2 play in his first game back. Rotoworld.com

  • Report: Arian Foster (groin) unlikely to play
ESPN's Adam Schefter stated on SportsCenter Friday that Arian Foster (groin, questionable) is unlikely to play in Week 11 against the Browns.

Advice: Technically, coach Bill O'Brien is calling Foster a game-day decision after he practiced "a little bit" on Friday. Multiple reports surfaced Friday that Foster will be out against Cleveland, giving Alfred Blue the start. "Right now it does not look promising," Schefter said of Foster's potential availability. "Signs not encouraging." Schefter expects a "heavy dose" of Alfred Blue against the Browns. Although Foster has had a great season when healthy, he has shown up on the weekly injury reports with four separate ailments. Blue will be an RB2 if he gets the nod at Cleveland. The Browns' defense is a recommended fantasy streamer against Houston's Ryan Mallett-led offense. Rotoworld.com

  • Rashad Jennings probable for Week 11
Rashad Jennings (knee, probable) expressed confidence Friday that he will be ready for a full workload in his Week 11 return.

Advice: "I'm back to myself," said Jennings, who sat out five weeks with an MCL sprain. "Obviously I can go as many [carries] as we need." Jennings was averaging 20.4 touches per game before going down. He's an RB2 against the 49ers. Rotoworld.com

  • Brian Hartline goes for 55 yards vs. Bills
Brian Hartline caught 3-of-4 targets for 55 yards in the Dolphins' Week 11 win over the Bills.

Advice: It was a veritable explosion for the forgotten No. 3 receiver, who did a lot of damage after the catch. The yards were Hartline's second most of the season. He remains miles from relevance in 12-14 team leagues. Rotoworld.com
