• Lands in Pittsburgh
Miller agreed to terms Wednesday on a one-year contract with the Steelers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Advice: Miller reunites with offensive coordinator Arthur Smith in Pittsburgh, after he logged a 11-161-2 receiving line across 17 appearances in 2023 in Atlanta, where Smith had served as the head coach. The wideout now gets a chance to compete with names like Quez Watkins, Denzel Mims, Marquez Callaway and Dez Fitzpatrick for a depth role with the Steelers this offseason. • Let go by Dallas
The Cowboys informed Bryant on Wednesday that he will be released, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Bryant, who last suited up for an NFL game in 2018 with the Raiders, signed a reserve/future contract with Dallas earlier this offseason but will now have to search for an opportunity to reignite his career elsewhere. His release does not result in any dead money against the salary cap for the Cowboys, per Gehlken. Rotowire.com Today, 11:22 am

  • Cowboys release WR Martavis Bryant
    Cowboys released WR Martavis Bryant.

Advice: Byrant signed with the Cowboys’ practice squad during the 2023 season. He was released before the end of the season but landed a reserve/futures contract with Dallas less than two weeks later. Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, “Other teams are interested and expected to bring him in for a look.” Bryant hasn’t played an NFL snap since 2018 but may get a shot at making a 53-man roster this summer. • Art gets another: Steelers sign WR Scotty Miller
Steelers signed WR Scotty Miller, formerly of the Falcons, to a one-year contract.

Advice: After hiring Arthur Smith to be their next offensive coordinator, the Steelers have made it abundantly clear that they plan to run Smith’s offense from Atlanta. They have already signed Cordarrelle Patterson, Van Jefferson, and Miller, all of whom played under Smith in 2023, this offseason. Miller went for 161 yards and two scores on 11 grabs last year. He figures to see most of his work on special teams in Pittsburgh. Rotoworld Today, 10:47 am

  • Candidate for depth WR role
Shorter, whose rookie season was derailed by a hamstring injury, is in line to compete for depth slotting behind fellow wide receivers Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Curtis Samuel, the Buffalo News reports.

Advice: The Bills took Shorter in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, but he never saw game action after being placed on IR ahead of the regular season. Though Shorter was designated to return from IR in December and was subsequently able to practice with the team, he wasn't activated when his 21-day window closed. Now presumably past his hamstring issue, the 6-4, 223-pounder is slated to vie with Chase Claypool, Mack Hollins, KJ Hamler, Andy Isabella and Quintez Cephus for a reserve WR/special teams role in his second campaign with Buffalo. • RapSheet: Niners want Brandon Aiyuk for long term
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the 49ers are focused on keeping Brandon Aiyuk for the long term.

Advice: Despite rampant speculation and reporting that the team had dangled Aiyuk as a trade candidate before and during the NFL Draft, Rapoport said the 49ers view Aiyuk as a “key piece” of Kyle Shanahan’s offense and have no desire to ship him to another team (it should be noted that 49ers general manager John Lynch denied reports that the team entertained a pre-draft trade of Aiyuk). Rapoport suggested Aiyuk could land a long-term deal similar to Devonta Smith, who last month signed a three-year contract extension worth up to $75 million. It seems likely Aiyuk will remain with the Niners for at least the 2024 season. Rotoworld Today, 6:10 am

  • Ends up on IR
Pitts (undisclosed) reverted to injured reserve Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Advice: The Packers waived Pitts on Monday with an injury designation. After going unclaimed, the 24-year-old will now be forced to miss the entirety of the 2024 campaign unless he negotiates an injury settlement with the team. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:08 pm

  • Rice under investigation for alleged assault
WFAA News reports Chiefs WR Rashee Rice is under investigation for an alleged nightclub assault.

Advice: According to Dallas police, the incident took place early Monday morning when Rice allegedly struck a photographer in a nightclub known as Lit Kitchen. We don’t know much beyond the allegations at this point, but this is now the second time this offseason that Rice has found himself involved in legal trouble. His most notable incident came in late March when he was involved in a high-speed, multi-vehicle crash that resulted in eight charges being filed against him. We’ll see what comes up with this latest allegation, but Rice continues to trend toward some kind of suspension before the start of the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:06 pm

  • Let go by Minnesota
The Vikings waived Baldwin on Tuesday.

Advice: Baldwin spent the entire 2023 campaign on Minnesota's practice squad and inked a reserve/future contract with the team back in January, but he'll now have to look for an opportunity to compete elsewhere. His lone NFL appearance came with the Browns in 2022. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:28 pm
