Taking advantage of having the final pick in the first round, Luke's Glorious Team was able to orchestrate a masterful draft. They're projected to finish atop QB-League League with a record of 12-2-0 (4,117 points). They recognize a team can only go as far as its quarterback, drafting Drew Brees (6th overall) and Matt Ryan (7th) with their first two picks. A lot will be expected of this group, as they are an above-average QB combo.

Week 9 could be a frustrating one for Luke's Glorious Team, as their top two projected scorers (Baltimore and Seattle) will be off with byes. Looking at the entire season, they have the least challenging slate. Along with having the easiest overall schedule, Luke's Glorious Team also has the league's easiest first four games and second-softest last four games of the season.

Draft Notes

  • Close to the Vest

Luke's Glorious Team was focused on a squad with minimal risk, grabbing six "low-risk" players out of 9 picks.

  • Putting Their Best Foot Forward

Luke's Glorious Team knows this isn't European football, right? They elected to go with two kickers, instead of stockpiling depth at other positions.

  • Better Late Than Never

Luke's Glorious Team finished on a high note, accumulating the most projected points in the league over the second half of the draft.

  • Mr. Relevant

In terms of projected points, the choice of Cleveland was the strongest pick of the final round. Savvy move there, Luke's Glorious Team.

    Is Matt Ryan Religious?

With 683 projected points, Luke's Glorious Team will be hoping Ryan is the answer to their prayers.

    • T. Bridgewater, QB
    • Round 3, Pick 18
Time to Sign Up for Andy Behrens' Fantasy Camp

Despite being selected 18th overall, Teddy Bridgewater is not projected among the NFL's top-15 in either passing TDs (18th with 22.2) or passing yards (19th with 3,810).

    • Baltimore, DEF
    • Round 6, Pick 31
Was Defense a Smart Decision at Pick No. 31?

Luke's Glorious Team sure hopes so. Baltimore's D is projected to net 946 points this year, after putting up 860 last year.

    • Andy Dalton, QB
    • Round 7, Pick 42
    Mr. Mendoza

Andy Dalton is owned in only 7% of all Yahoo! leagues. Let's hope that a.) Luke's Glorious Team has some solid inside information, or b.) he's a close friend of the family.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
