watches run took advantage of a favorable draft slot and built the kind of roster that makes opponents "go out of town" or "spend time with the kids" when they see your team on the schedule. watches run is projected to finish second in We Talk Fantasy Sports League at 10-3-0 (1,216 points). They aimed for having a roster with balance throughout, taking QB Matt Ryan (55th overall), RBs Jamaal Charles (2nd) and Zac Stacy (27th), and WRs Keenan Allen (30th) and T.Y. Hilton (58th). They put together the top group of RBs in the league, as they added Charles, Stacy, and Knowshon Moreno.

While Week 12 has the most players on bye for watches run (four), Week 9 is actually projected to have the team's highest amount of idle fantasy points. Based on their opponents' projected points, they have the weakest schedule. In addition to having the easiest overall schedule, watches run has the league's easiest first four games and most difficult last four games of the season.

Draft Notes

  • Blatantly Obvious

Selecting starting RBs should be a simple task most weeks for watches run, as the projected point difference between their second-ranked (Zac Stacy) and third-ranked (Knowshon Moreno) RBs is significant.

  • Separating the Wheat from the Chaff

At three different positions, watches run picked up projected top-3 players (Jamaal Charles, Stephen Gostkowski, and Carolina).

  • Great Idea, Poor Execution

watches run will need some help from the waiver wire in Week 12, as their only TE (Greg Olsen) and only DEF (Carolina) will both be idle that week.

  • Team of Champions?

watches run is fielding a team of fantasy MVPs. Last season, three of their players were among the top-20 players that were on the most championship rosters across all Yahoo! leagues: Jamaal Charles, Zac Stacy, and Knowshon Moreno.

  • My One and Only

Ignoring roster depth, watches run chose only one player at four different positions (QB, TE, DEF, and K).

  • A Low Floor, but a High Ceiling?

watches run nabbed a sleeper in Jonathan Stewart with pick No. 167.

Player Analysis

    • Jamaal Charles, RB
    • Round 1, Pick 2
2014 Could be More of the Same

Owners who took a chance on Charles last season were rewarded handsomely, as he was owned on more playoff rosters across Yahoo! than any other RB.

    • Zac Stacy, RB
    • Round 2, Pick 27
    Old Fashioned

watches run stuck to the tried-and-true fantasy strategy of going RB-RB to start the draft, taking Jamaal Charles and Zac Stacy before targeting other positions.

    • Matt Ryan, QB
    • Round 4, Pick 55
Do You Know if Matt Ryan is Religious?

With 464 projected points, watches run is hoping Ryan will be the answer to their prayers.

    • T.Y. Hilton, WR
    • Round 5, Pick 58
    Rethinking That One

T.Y. Hilton went with the 58th pick, even though he's projected to fall outside of the top-20 in the NFL in both receiving TDs (25th) and receiving yards (26th) with 6.2 and 1,010 respectively.

    • T. Williams, WR
    • Round 6, Pick 83
Was the 83rd Pick the Right Time for Terrance Williams?

watches run apparently believes it is. The Cowboys' wide receiver is projected to put up 115 points this year, after only netting 87 last year.

Best Available

    • Kenbrell Thompkins

    • Tavon Austin
    • Rank 181, ADP 131

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent.
