Conceit proved on draft day that when the lights come on, they perform, building a strong team capable of beating anyone on the schedule. They are expected to finish third in Stampede Blue League 9 League with a record of 8-5-0 (1,623 points). They went after the diva position early, using three of their first five selections on WRs Calvin Johnson (first round), Julio Jones (second round), and Larry Fitzgerald (fourth round). These players will be heavily relied upon by Conceit, as they are the most prolific group of WRs in the league.
Week 9 might require some additional effort if they hope to win, as their top two projected scorers (Matthew Stafford and Julio Jones) will be off that weekend. Based on their opponents' projected points, they have a softer-than-average schedule. Conceit has the opportunity to come out firing, as the first four games of their season are projected to be less difficult than the league average.
Draft Notes
-
On Autopilot
Picking starting RBs should be an effortless exercise most weeks for Conceit, as there's a healthy projected point difference between their third-ranked (Ray Rice) and fourth-ranked (Devonta Freeman) RBs.
-
A Pair of Proven Winners
Conceit has a couple of fantasy MVPs in their lineup. Last season, two of their players (Calvin Johnson and Matthew Stafford) finished among the top-20 players that were on the most first-place fantasy teams.
-
No Back-Up No Cry
Ignoring roster depth, Conceit chose only one player at three different positions (TE, DEF, and K).
-
A Low Floor, but a High Ceiling?
Conceit grabbed a sleeper in Jordan Matthews with pick No. 164.
-
Conceit Went All YOLO Here
Grabbing Ronnie Hillman at pick 188 was just a bit of a stretch. Hillman is owned on only a few rosters across all Yahoo! leagues.
Player Analysis

- Round 1, Pick 5
Meeting His ExpectationsOften the only WR taken in the first round in 2013, Megatron lived up to the billing and was owned on more playoff teams across Yahoo! than any other wideout.

- Julio Jones, WR
- Round 2, Pick 20
Stolen In Broad DaylightJulio Jones was the best value pick of the round and could be the cause of many sleepless nights for the other managers.
-
- M. Stafford, QB
- Round 3, Pick 29

-
- L. Fitzgerald, WR
- Round 4, Pick 44
Defensive Coordinators Plan Specifically for FitzgeraldLarry Fitzgerald is expected to reach paydirt 8.1 times, placing him 10th in the NFL in projected receiving TDs.
-
- R. Jennings, RB
- Round 5, Pick 53
How Rebellious of YouConceit said 'no' to the tradition of fantasy drafting a RB early, waiting until the fifth round to pick up their first (Rashad Jennings).
Best Available
With four below-average positions on Conceit, RB and DEF are projected as especially weak units that should be upgraded first.

How We Grade
Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
