This draft by D. A. Baracas was like a finely tuned Peyton Manning-led offense, with all the pieces falling into place. Just like Peyton's offense, D. A. Baracas is expected to score a lot of points this season and finish second in Stampede Blue League 7 League at 10-3-0 (1,678 points). They went after guys who can tote the rock with their early picks, using three of their first five picks to scoop up RBs Montee Ball (second round), Toby Gerhart (third round), and C.J. Spiller (fourth round). They built a better-than-average group of WRs, as they have Demaryius Thomas, Michael Floyd, Rueben Randle, and Dwayne Bowe for their rotation.

D. A. Baracas can chalk up Week 4 as a loss. They have six players and the most projected fantasy points on bye that week. Based on their opponents' projected points, they have a less-challenging-than-average schedule. Despite having the sixth-easiest overall schedule, D. A. Baracas actually has the most difficult last four games of the season.

Draft Notes

  • Single-Bar Facemasks

    D. A. Baracas knows this is American football, right? They elected to go with two kickers, instead of stockpiling depth at other positions.

  • Big D

    D. A. Baracas elected to go with two DEFs instead of loading up at other spots.

  • Bargain Shopper

With three steals in the first 10 rounds (Seattle, Matt Prater, and Jordan Cameron), D. A. Baracas made some shrewd moves.

  • Mr. Mendoza

James White is owned in only 1% of all Yahoo! leagues. Let's hope that a.) D. A. Baracas has some solid inside information, or b.) he's a close friend of the family.

Player Analysis

    Does Montee Ball Enjoy Fajitas?

Because his total yardage figures are sizzling. Ball is projected to rank 10th in the league with 1,493 all-purpose yards.

    • Toby Gerhart, RB

Best Available

The best move for D. A. Baracas may be to let the season play out some before making a move, however, QB is one area they could potentially upgrade if they can't be patient.

    • Josh McCown
    • Rank 145, ADP 133
    • Alex Smith
    • Rank 146, ADP 125
    • Michael Vick

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
