Whether or not Butch's Bricks was talking trash in the draft chat room is irrelevant and you have no proof. What there is proof of, though, is a dominant draft performance by Butch's Bricks that led to a season projection of 9-5-0 (1,359 points) and a second-place finish in Titan Cup West League. They obviously understand how important the running back position is in fantasy football. They used three of their first five picks on RBs Jamaal Charles (first round), Doug Martin (third round), and Le'Veon Bell (fifth round). These players will be heavily relied upon by Butch's Bricks, as they are the best group of RBs in the league.

While Week 8 has the most players on bye for Butch's Bricks (four), Week 7 is actually projected to have the team's highest amount of idle fantasy points. Looking at the entire season, they have one of the least challenging slates. Butch's Bricks has the opportunity to start and finish with a flurry, as both the first four games and final four games of their season are projected to be less difficult than the league average.

Draft Notes

  • Earning Your Paycheck

Butch's Bricks will have some tough decisions to make at WR each week, with a scant projected points difference between their third- (Rueben Randle), fourth- (Michael Crabtree), and fifth-ranked (Sammy Watkins) wideouts.

  • Show Some ID

Butch's Bricks isn't afraid to rob the cradle, drafting the youngest team in the league with an average of just 4.5 years of NFL experience.

  • My One and Only

Ignoring roster depth, Butch's Bricks chose only one player at three different positions (TE, DEF, and K).

  • A Low Floor, but a High Ceiling?

Butch's Bricks nabbed a sleeper in Terrance West with pick No. 137.

  • Mr. Relevant

Butch's Bricks scored the best value pick of the final round, drafting Ryan Tannehill at pick number 157.

Player Analysis

    • Jamaal Charles, RB
    • Round 1, Pick 4
    Choosy Moms Choose Jamaal

Owners who took a chance on Jamaal Charles were rewarded nicely last year, as he was owned on more playoff rosters across Yahoo! than any other RB.

    • A.J. Green, WR
    • Round 2, Pick 17
182 Excuses to Cheer for A.J. Green

Green ranks sixth in the Titan Cup West League among wideouts with 182 projected fantasy points.

    • Doug Martin, RB
    • Round 3, Pick 24
    Does Doug Martin Enjoy Fajitas?

Because his all-purpose yardage figures are sizzling. Martin is projected to rank ninth in the league with 1,505 total yards.

    • V. Jackson, WR
    • Round 4, Pick 37
    The Power of Persuasion

Now would be a reasonable time for Butch's Bricks to encourage the Titan Cup West League to increase the value of receptions. They grabbed Vincent Jackson and his 88 projected catches (ranked ninth in the NFL).

    • Le'Veon Bell, RB
    • Round 5, Pick 44
    Better Lucky Than Good?

The rest of Titan Cup West League overlooked a gem, and Butch's Bricks made the highest value pick of the round by taking Le'Veon Bell.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
