The GM of Colorado Cowboys must be an angel, because this team looks like it fell from heaven. They were able to flip the 11th overall pick into an expected finish of first place with a record of 12-2-0 (1,494 points). With their first five picks, Colorado Cowboys focused on a balanced offensive attack, selecting QB Matt Ryan (59th overall), RBs Marshawn Lynch (11th) and C.J. Spiller (38th), and WRs A.J. Green (14th) and Randall Cobb (35th). They built one of the most prolific QB duos in the league, as they added Ryan and Robert Griffin III.

Colorado Cowboys should use Week 4 to consider life's deeper mysteries, like what was the greatest thing before sliced bread? No, seriously, think about it. It's better than thinking about fantasy football that week. They have six players and the most projected fantasy points on bye that week. Looking at the entire season, they have one of the least challenging slates. Colorado Cowboys has a chance to come out of the gate hot and close strong, as both the first four games and final four games of their season are projected to be less difficult than the league average.

Draft Notes

  • Maybe You Should Add Tony Gonzalez While You're At It

In Week 4, both Jordan Cameron and Tyler Eifert will be on bye for Colorado Cowboys.

  • QB Controversy?

Colorado Cowboys may have to rely on a Ouija board each week. Their top-drafted QB (Matt Ryan) and second-drafted QB (Robert Griffin III) have fairly similar seasonal point projections.

  • Single-Bar Facemasks

Colorado Cowboys knows this is American football, right? They elected to go with two kickers, instead of stockpiling depth at other positions.

  • Not Afraid to Scramble

With 584 projected rushing yards (ranked third among QBs), Robert Griffin III has multiple ways to bring in points.

  • Mr. Mendoza

Chris Ivory is owned in only 2% of all Yahoo! leagues. Let's hope that a.) Colorado Cowboys has some solid inside information, or b.) he's a close friend of the family.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
