Mile High Mid-Life League -
I have an update for all as it relates to dues as well as payouts. To this point, half of the league has paid it's dues, and for that I say "Thank You" on behalf of everyone that fulfilled their commitment to ensure the payouts for the entire group. Of those 6 that paid - 2 did "not" make the playoffs. That leaves 4 that have paid, and 4 that have yet to pay in the hunt. After thinking about this over the past month or so, I've made an executive decision to wrap this topic up. For full transparency - I've personally reached out to each/every participant in the league that hasn't paid dues:
-A few good Men
-Hard Knocks
-Le'Veon A Prayer
-R3J0N
-L's Quality Team
-Underdogs
Each of these individuals committed to payment, in some cases, multiple times - yet, no action was ever taken, or fulfilled. As a result, I see it as such:
ANY manager that paid their dues WILL be paid in full, even if out of my pocket, as that was a commitment I was willing to make to ensure this league was in play for everyone to enjoy (and in this case, every single new manager on this list was invited by me to participate - so, I have some ownership in this as well).
Any manager that has not paid their dues will NOT be rewarded any winnings whatsoever, despite what place they land in the playoffs/championship. Each non-paying manager has until this Thursday to make their payment, or will sacrifice their winnings for either top scorer/1st/2nd/3rd place placement come end of season.
There has been over 12 weeks to pay a minimal $75 fee - and with repeated and inconvenient outreaches on my end - following up and attempting to chase money down like a collector, this won't be the case any further after today. If you don't have the entrance fee paid (3 months late), you won't earn winnings.
Lastly - in the event that the actual payouts for those who have paid are less than the monies received to this point (6 managers x $75 = $450), I will pay out the leftover monies to those that paid on time/during the season evenly and fairly. My hope here is that everyone pays the dues, including those 2 that did not make the playoffs - and at the end of it all, everyone is simply paid and we can look forward to another great season next year (with stronger punctuality - as I'm in this for the fun, not for the inconvenience of having to be a collector). Each person will be sent this email, as well as a text/separate follow up to ensure they have ample notification of the timeline - and all of you have my contact information. The day is Thursday - prior to game time that evening. If not received, or received after - your money will not be accepted and I will proceed with the process outlined above.
