Welcome everyone to the 2019 season! 8 years strong in the Cobra Kai!!
We have some updates and changes this year. Yes, I know it’s only June, but if you don’t know me by know this is how I roll!
First, I‘d like to welcome back Mike Massielo ‘aka’ the MAZ (Rob unf unf!!) and also John Paddock. Two members who were out for a year or two, but because of their history in the league, as owner/commish I wanted to get back in.
As a result, I “removed” two of last year’s members, Tittsburgh Feelers and Flying Pigs. While it could be argued that it was a dick-move to do that, and that’s a fair point, at the end of the day it was my call. So, having said that welcome back!!! Last year we had 3 new members so I kept ‘Marvin’s Room’ as, in my opinion he was the most interested and involved.
**Scoring / Roster Updates**
So yea, kickers are fucking useless so, unless there is *serious* backlash or a real problem with any of you, I am removing the kicker spot in favor of another WR/RB/TE flex position. Any of you who take serious issue with this we can hash it out.
**Keepers**
So as we all agreed, last year we started this being a keeper league. As you recall (or should recall), any player that you drafted in the 3rd round or later last year and kept on your roster the whole year without dropping or trading, is eligible as a keeper *WITH* a 1 round penalty. So, if you drafted Aaron Hernandez in the 5th round last year and followed the above rules, you can keep him this year as your 4th round selection. All keeper designations must be relayed to me before the draft date, more to come on that. The same rules apply this year. Keepers are only good for 1 year. Maz and John will get to use any legal keepers of the teams they inherited.

Our current reigning champion is Tatarsky (luckily) , looking forward to taking you out.
This year’s dues I’d like to raise to $125.
Reason for this is that I’d like to give $20 to the top point’s winner each week, weeks 1-13
If you can afford $100 for the year, I’m assuming that you can afford $125. Having said that, I do *not* want to assume everyone’s financial situation so this is not set in stone. If any of you have an issue with this let me know and we can keep it to the way things have been. I think this makes each week a little more interesting.

Rules/Scoring
We are all veterans here, go check all of the scoring and settings, I don’t need to highlight everything. There are no changes to scoring. If you have any questions just let me know.
Trades
League votes, just cuz *you* wouldn’t do the trade doesn’t make it veto worthy, I don’t think we have any issues with this, just putting it out there. I will force through trades if there is an issue with timing and there are no objections
Waivers
You guys know the drill $300 budget for the year, spend wisely!

Draft

I am doing the draft order tomorrow night 6/8!!! I like doing this early, you know this. It will be randomly done by Yahoo. I don’t think the app on smartphone’s shows it but when you go on to the website it does. I’ll do another post with the official results.

Trading spots with any other league member is fine with me as long as both parties agree.

The actual Draft date will be after week 3 of the pre-season. More to come on this, usually a Sat. or Sun. evening.

I started a Facebook chat group last year for trash talk and anything league-relevant. I find it’s a quicker and easier way to communicate. If you aren’t on the group or have gotten the invite let me know.
