  • Thanks to everyone for a good draft. Apologies for the technical issues, blame yahoo. All players are free agents until the first game of the season, this is a setting I cannot change. After the first game, you will have to use your FAAB money for waiver claims.

  • Welcome to year 3 of the HVHC FFL!!!

    I hope everyone had a good off-season. We lost 2 teams this year, "It's Farve, not Favre" and "Superb" We have picked up 2 more owners in their abscence. John P. from MIS and Bobby from Central Supply. Make sure you go through and familiarize yourself with all the scoring and settings.

    THIS YEARS CHANGES/UPDATES:

    -No divisions this year, it was cool to try but ended up being annoying

    -Waivers.

    This year we will be doing waivers based off FAAB (Free Agent Acquisition Budget) money. Each manager will be given a budget of $800 for the year ($50 bucks a week). Players will be placed on waivers at the start of the Sunday 1pm games until Tuesday. To claim a player off waivers you will bid a dollar amount and whoever bids the most wins, you will not be able to see what other players have bid unless you flat out tell them, which defeats the purpose. If there is a tie, the player with the worse record wins.

    -Scoring.

    I made a couple of minor scoring changes this year.

    - -1.5 for INT's

    - -1 for fumbles and -1 for fumbles lost. So if you lose the fumble it will be -2, which was normal and if the player fumbles, but recovers, it's -1

    -D/ST When a team gives up 35+ points it's -2 not -4

    -Trades.

    I plan to use Yahoo as the final authority with trades. The commisioner will approve/disapprove of all trades and if any league manager wants to lodge a complaint, Yahoo will review and be the final say. This options isn't working right now on Yahoo, so more to follow. Also, people can include FAAB money in their trade. I will manually adjust each players budget accordingly as there is not an option in the trade process itself to do it.

    -Payouts

    Payouts will be different this year. There will be no more $$$ for the weekly points winner. Instead, the weekly points winner will receive $50 in their FAAB. This leaves more money for the end of the season winners. Here are the payouts:

    1st-$600
    2nd-$300
    3rd-$125
    Loser's bracket winner- $100
    Top Points at the end of the season-$75

    -Draft/Draft Order/Payments

    As soon as the final two teams register with the league, I will do the draft order. Basically, it will be names out of a hat, there will be at least 3 of us there to witness it.

    The actual live draft will take place probably around the last week or 2 of August. I will put out some dates in the upcoming weeks.

    The fee this year will remain $100 and I would appreciate to have the $$$ before the live draft.
