I know that it's been a long offseason. In 2020 I was convinced to draft early, and that cost many teams who ended up drafting unusable players. This year we wille revert to previous year's draft schedules.
* Game 1 cutdown is from 90 to 85 players (August 16)
* Game 2 cutdown is from 85 to 80 players (August 23)
* Game 3 cutdown is from 80 to 53 players (August 30)
We will draft after the final preseason game, on Thursday, August 31.
Monday, August 28, is the last day of the preseason games (Game 3). August 30 is the final cut-down day. September 7 is the first regular season game.
Ideally I would like to draft AFTER September 5 so we know who really has a roster spot. But, that would make people really anxious. The last preseason game is usually reserved for rookies and wannabe players. So, on Friday August 31 at 5:00 pm (CST) I will set the draft to go. I hope that by that time you all have pre-ranked your players and discarded players that you don't want. It usually takes Yahoo up to 24 hours to draft our teams. Yahoo will inform you when your players are drafted.
