Good luck in the playoffs! The teams that did earn a playoff spot will lose the ability to add/remove players sometime before Thursdays game.

I would really like to hear peoples thoughts on this continuous waiver system that is new to Yahoo. No changes will be made to this years league but for the future, it's quite intriguing.

UPDATE: The list of people who have their e-mail address not hidden is now Me, Eskimos, Planeteers and ball breakers. 4 is a good start but everyone needs to be on board. Please make the transition to keeper players easy for me.

Keeper Players ( ALL MUST READ)
I've always wanted to host a league with keeper players in it. Since this league has all of the same managers returning on a year to year basis, that keeper player dream can become reality! Anyone who turned out for last nights draft already knows about this. If you weren't at the draft then shame on you.
Any player drafted in the 4th round or higher or not drafted at all can be used by a manager as a keeper player and returned to their squad for next season. If the player you want to keep has been dropped, waived, traded or just got out prison it doesn't matter. If the player was not drafted in any of the first 3 rounds of the league draft that took place on 9-4-12 then they can be used as a keeper.
What I need from you is that your E-mail be current and displayed on Yahoo. This way I can track you down and beat you if you don't tell me your keeper player at the end of the season. Right now the list of people who have their addresses displayed is as follows:

..... that is all. Seriously, that's it. I need your help here. Please find a way to get me your email or simply adjust your settings so that it is displayed for everyone in the league to see. This also applies to the people I see regularly as well!

Welcome back to Football For Smart People and thank you all for joining. This is the first time we have had a 100% turn around! Everyone rejoined and that may lead to only good things like keeper players! I'll look into all that later on and come up with a system for keeper players before the draft.
The following are all of the scoring changes:
- Points are no longer awarded to a player who gains more then 40 yards on a play. (last year: 40+ yard catch/run/pass=1 point)
- Removed points awarded for defensive yardage allowed. (last year 0-99 yards allowed was listed as 8 points and scaled down by a 2 points for each hundred allowed)
- Allowed playoff reseeding. Playoff reseeding will adjust the second round matchups so the highest seeded team will play the lowest ranked team. Playoff reseeding will occur when there is an upset in the first round of the playoffs. -
Stay tuned for scoring changes for this year. Last years scoring was out of hand!
