Commish Notes

  • FFFL Owners,

Congrats to Ryan Nilsson and The Rebels for winning the 1st annual Superbowl in the Fantasy Football Fanatics League (FFFL!) He wins $300 while, The West Seattle Shakers wins$100 for runners up.

    Review of the Season
Hope everyone had fun in the 1st year of the FFFL. It all started w/ a crazy draft in which The Rebels drafted; Aaron Rodgers, Michael Vick and Arian Foster with over $150 of the $200 budget. We laughed at him and his "GM" he had who drafted for him, but irony prevailed and some how he won it all! Unfortunately the same strategy didn't work for Swayz Phase (drafted Tom Brady and...wait for it, Peyton Manning.) :)

The West Seattle Shakers had 10+ wins in a row and many thought the championship was theirs after some mid season blockbuster trades, however, injuries to Greg Jennings, Fred Jackson AND the 2 big trades that yielded them A. Johnson (WR) and D. McFadden (RB) backfired as those 2 didn't play more than 2 games for them due to injuries.

The other big story of the year was the Armchair Left Tackle. Started out w/ 7 straight losses only to win their last 7 and miss the playoffs by a hair. Watch out for them next year for sure!

    Other "highlights":
Johnsonboyz and Bengali Bombers used $0 of their allotted $100 budgets on waivers whereas
Snoqualmie had 63 waiver/free agent moves
Tatas had only 3 wins. Nice Petty :)
Johnsonboyz - After starting 6-3, lost their last 5 games in a row
    High Score Winners (weeks 1-15):
    West Seattle Shakers - $70
    The Rebels - $40
    Armchair Left Tackle - $20
    Johnsonboyz - $10
    Snoqualmie Ridgers - $10
Potential changes for next year (must be voted on):
Have 6 teams make the playoffs instead of 4. Top 2 teams w/ best records earn byes in week 14
Change out payouts to have a 3rd place get a piece of the winnings. EG)
TOTAL POT - $50 X 12 teams (as long as the hit the correct pay pal box) :) = $600
    Superbowl Winner - $300
    Superbowl Runner Up - $100
    3rd Place - $50
    Weekly Winners - $10 X 15 weeks = $150
Add a TE to the line up while keeping the 3rd WR spot AND the 1 Flex (TE/WR) for a total of 10 players playing each week:
    QB
    RB
    RB
    WR
    WR
    WR
    TE
    1 Flex
    K
    DEF
Minus points for FG's missed (-2 points, regardless of distance.) Same as a fumble or interception.
Minus points for XP's missed (-1 point)
Add return yards as a category giving kick returners and punt returners move value?
    Any other suggestions???
Finally, remember this is also a keeper league. IF, you don't want to play next year, please let me know ASAP so we can find another owner to take over your team ASAP. If you are in, please note what 2 keepers you want to keep and what you paid for those keepers (hope I can find out and yahoo saves the info, but if not, I will take your dollar amount due to the high integrity owners we have here.) :)

Thanks for a fun year and hope to see many of you here next year! Congrats Ryan....I hate you and A. Rodgers, V. Cruz, J. Nelson, A. Foster, M. Turner, and the entire Rebels team! :)

    GO SHAKERS!!!
